Short review of lateral canthoplasty (sedation anesthesia)

Hello, I’m a total newbie who just joined this community Today I got lateral canthoplasty exactly. It was non-incisional, and I paid 1 million won excluding VAT... But since I had a history of epicanthoplasty + double eyelid surgery 5 years ago, I naturally thought it would be under local anesthesia Right before the surgery, what the... they said it would be sedation anesthesia So I was like, huh? why? They said lateral canthoplasty involves thin tissue and is the most painful surgery (among eye surgeries), so usually people move around a lot and find it too painful... Then it becomes difficult to operate, and because patients toss and turn, it’s hard to set the line. But the clinic was a small place with just one director, so I was less worried about things like proxy surgery. So they pricked me with a needle to do sedation anesthesia, but I was wide awake. When I looked, they said they would put the medication in after 1 minute and that it wasn’t yet I was like, ah~ I see While waiting, I kept not falling asleep, so I kept thinking when will 1 minute pass, when will it pass But while I was still thinking, the surgery.. was over? It was my first time with sedation anesthesia, so wow, what was that really, until just a moment ago I thought I was still thinking, but it felt like the whole hour of surgery had been deleted.. I mean I thought I was continuously thinking, but I wasn’t;; Anyway, the 1 minute before surgery and right after surgery ended connected so naturally that I didn’t even know I had surgery At first it was a bit hard to open my eyes, and eye discharge kept forming (it still does now..), and on the white of my eye there was something like a blister that looked like I wanted to pop it Because of that I couldn’t roll my eyes and couldn’t open them properly, but it almost went down while I was riding the subway! And when I was surrounded by friends, they said they couldn’t tell there was swelling, and the clinic said makeup would be possible right away the next day; For something done today, on the same day, it looked so natural, and luckily I didn’t have a car and only went with my mom, but we took the subway and nobody paid attention It really looked natural, like someone who was originally just a bit unattractive~ Anyway, I still don’t know how this will settle.. For now I was very satisfied, and I even didn’t go straight home, but chatted for a long time with a friend who lives near my house, using cold wind instead of an ice pack to reduce swelling So now I’m very comfortable. Honestly, for the process, the director must have had the hard part, but from my perspective it felt like a procedure, not surgery... Anyway, I’ll write another review later
