Even people seeing me for the first time would ask if I had it done... I hated that it looked obvious... I had wanted to do something about it, but I kept putting off consultations because I was busy with job hunting and work. Today I went to the place where I had the surgery and got a consultation..
They asked why I wanted to remove it, saying that although it is a little obvious, it seems well done, and if there are no problems, I can leave it in for life.. Still, I said I hate the foreign-body sensation and want to remove it, and they said if I remove the 3 mm silicone plus the autologous cartilage at the nasal tip and the septum, the nose will lift up. Even if I remove anything, I should only remove the silicone from the nasal bridge area.. They keep telling me not to remove it..
From what I remember at the time of surgery, I had a bit of a hump, so they shaved it down a little, and because my nose was originally very small.. In my young mind, I envied people who had large noses even if they were not very pretty.. I did it with that mindset, but at first, maybe because the swelling had not gone down, my nose looked a bit plump. As time passed, it started to feel artificial, like pointed silicone had been inserted.. and I felt like my nasal tip was gradually lifting..
Honestly, inflammation is something I don't really understand, and I don't know whether I have had it until now, but for a few years, there has been a little blood coming from inside my nose, and sometimes the nasal tip would get red or feel slightly sore. Since it did not last long, I thought maybe it was nothing, but I want to know whether this was inflammation
Because I heard that when silicone is removed, a nose that has had inflammation can develop contracture.. I am honestly so scared to remove it.. But I also really hate the thought of living my whole life with silicone sitting in my nose like this..
Nose surgery really does seem to make the impression a bit sharper and more refined.. but as I get older, I realize that doing it at such a young age was truly reckless.. If there are people thinking about nose surgery, I really want to stop them.. You really should not touch your face..
Even if it won't be like before.. If I remove about 3 mm from now.. will it look strange because the nasal tip is too high..?? Or will contracture happen..??
