It’s been 5 weeks since my first surgery. Can I get revision surgery right away?? I’m so stressed because the cartilage is showing through. I want to get AS as soon as possible Honestly, they didn’t even make a support structure like costal cartilage; they just placed cartilage through a closed approach, and it’s only been 5 weeks, but the cartilage show-through and deviation are severe
청명 You can’t. You have to wait 6 months before doing it.
탐지레이다 Is the area where the cartilage is showing through red or completely white?? At 5 weeks, it might be because you’re still in the period when tissue is filling in!! In the early stage after surgery, mine was so white that I was worried it was cartilage show-through, so I looked at other reviews. During the early post-op period when tissue is filling in, there were reviews where it looked white and raised like mine, then got better later. When I asked the doctor, they also said it was because the tissue was still filling in and that it would be okay later. For me, from the 2-month mark, all the white-looking areas disappeared!! And from the 4-month mark, I developed real cartilage show-through, and actual cartilage show-through wasn’t white; it was completely transparent. And for AS (revision surgery), they probably won’t try to do it before 6 months, but still ask the clinic once!! I hope you don’t get too stressed. Hang in there~~!!
Boolan [@탐지레이다] Only that part is very slightly whiter than the surrounding area! But maybe because the cartilage in this white area has gone a bit sideways, it’s shifted to one side and looks white, so I think it stands out Thank you for sharing your experience so thoughtfully!! Thanks to you, I feel like I have a little more strength to wait and watch! Thank you so much
킴조이 [@탐지레이다] I’m at 2 weeks now, and it wasn’t this bad until yesterday, but suddenly starting today only the nasal tip is white and round…could this be the same thing too?
탐지레이다 [@킴조이] Before it turned white and raised, that area was reddish and transparent for me. Then it turned white and raised!! In the very early stage after surgery, it was transparent and red -> then that area turned white and raised
