I had bulbous nose correction and surgery to raise the bridge and nasal tip at Ruby Plastic Surgery. I had surgery with Chief Director Ha Ki-young, and today is day 9. I had bulbous nose correction, about 4.5 mm of silicone was inserted in the nasal bridge, and they said autologous cartilage and donated costal cartilage were used together in two layers! They only did sedation briefly at first, and after I felt dazed for a short while, I woke up from the anesthesia and the surgery proceeded while I was conscious. There was almost no pain, just a slight sting when they administered the anesthesia? They played music when the surgery started, so I think I felt less nervous. The pillow was hard, so when I asked them to change it, they kindly changed it for me. After the surgery ended, the nurses applauded and told me I did well, so I felt good haha. Thanks to the director performing the surgery meticulously, I didn’t have any nosebleeds after surgery and I barely had any bruising! It was a surgery that hurt even less than getting a wisdom tooth removed. The surgery took about 3 hours. For postoperative care, I remember receiving a swelling laser treatment at the clinic, getting a hot/cold pack, and the nurse who checked my nose was also kind. Personally, my taste is for a natural yet refined look, and I think it turned out naturally, neither too low nor too high^^ My parents were also happy and said it turned out well, like my own nose. If you’re thinking about bulbous nose surgery, I’d like to recommend Director Ha Ki-young at Ruby Plastic Surgery! The consultant also said he is a doctor specializing in bulbous noses, and based on my experience, both the consultation and surgery were handled professionally and neatly.
