I had cheekbone surgery to make my face narrower.
At a famous large hospital, I asked the coordinator in front of the doctor whether the side cheekbones would also become smaller, and the coordinator said, "Of course."
On the day of the cheekbone surgery, I received the consent form (they did not even read it aloud, just said to sign it) and went into the operating room (the operating table was smaller than my height; I am 170 cm tall).
It has been 2.5 months since the surgery, and I only just realized that a second angle has formed. The part where the cheekbone starts right in front of the ear.
On the website, it showed that area would be shaved down, but they did not shave it there. So that part is bulging. At first I thought it was wire, but it is bone.
And the left and right sides of my face look wider. The three-dimensionality is gone, and since the width of the cheekbones is the same as before, my face just looks flat and bread-like. ' My ignorance was the real sin. The surgery method was not one that would make the side cheekbones smaller, but I thought if I did 45 degrees, they would become smaller, and I made the mistake of lying down on the operating table while only believing the single statement, "The side cheekbones will get smaller too, right?" "Yes." But before payment at a plastic surgery clinic, you cannot demand that the contract explicitly state that the side cheekbones will get smaller and the face width will become narrower. After the surgery, when I was angry and belatedly looked up the surgery method on the website, the surgeon said in a video that contour surgery does not reduce facial width, it changes it to look better. He said not to misunderstand. My failure not to check the website content one by one ended up being the biggest problem.
The reason I decided to get cheekbone surgery was that I saw photos on the website of a smaller-looking face and thought, this is it, so I had the surgery. But when I looked closely, the neck size in the after photo was actually smaller...(๑°ㅁ°๑)‼
I got baited by manipulated photos....
What I ended up with was a wider face, sagging neck fat, a second angle (it is near the sideburns so it is not visible, but if I touch it I can feel it too much and it makes me sad), tingling sensations in the lips, tingling sensations in the brow area, occasional cheekbone pain when sleeping, difficulty lying comfortably on either side, and pain if I lie on one side for a long time.
My weight is normal (170 cm, 57 kg, male), but my neck fat has sagged even more than before. ( ಥ _ ಥ )
The only side effect around the cheekbones seems to be sagging, so that is at least somewhat fortunate, but the jaw area is really something that should not be done at just any hospital because of the nerves, and you really need to look into it very carefully.
Even if it is more expensive, you need to check whether the operating room is properly maintained, whether they carefully read the consent form at the time of payment, whether they explain things like revision surgery costs, whether they use any manipulated photos, and when you ask questions, you need a director who explains exactly where it will get smaller, how it will change, and from what angle, so that you can picture it clearly in your head... And you absolutely need to clearly appeal the result you want to the coordinator too. Because I know less than the coordinator, even a single word can lead to communication where each side means something slightly different.
If you look at the attached photo (blue clothes are before surgery, gray clothes are after surgery), please look at the slope of the left cheek. It is mirrored left-right. I looked slimmer when I weighed 5 kg more. Now that I have lost weight, my face looks bigger. I paid money and my face ended up bigger instead( ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )
And what I always feel is that when I go to a restaurant to eat, even though I am not even making eye contact with the other person, men always say something. The laborer says directly next to me, "A guy got plastic surgery," and younger guys whisper among themselves that I look like a girl. ◉ ‸ ◉
The only comfort is the smile from women when they talk to me, something I never felt in my previous life.
Of course, this result came because my nose turned out relatively okay, improving my appearance from a truly disabled level to a standard level.. It is absolutely not because of the cheekbones.

Just that one thing makes it easy to ignore the insults from other men. Because I can just think to myself: go ahead and live your whole life looking that ugly, never feeling a woman's sincere smile...
Plastic surgery improves interpersonal relationships by removing the causes of appearance-related inferiority. But it can also interfere with social activities.
And the cheekbones really do end up like the photos... That was the last thing I wanted to say.

The right side is not like this, but the left side skin is. Looking at how the pores are so visible, it seems like the skin is sagging, but only the parts where the cheekbone was worked on are discolored and sagging? No wonder it kept throbbing so much; it was because the skin was sagging...
And if you look at the cheekbone incision line near the sideburns, the incision lengths on the two sides are not the same. The left cheekbone incision is long and the right cheekbone incision is short... Why is that...? Maybe if someone is ambidextrous, both sides would be the same? I wonder if that guess is correct...
