Female, first rhinoplasty (late 20s to mid-30s) I’m only looking into non-implant surgery, hump nose, bulbous nose, nasal tip, and osteotomy-related procedures. Like everyone else, I want to finish it with the first surgery... All three clinics I went to said my nose would turn out well and that I don’t need an implant. (Firm nasal skin, some nasal bridge height) I only went to places that do CT scans. 1. ㅁㅇㄷ - ㅇㅇㅌ (ear cartilage) 0) Reason I chose it - When I filtered for “nasal tip (autologous tissue)” on ㅂㅂㅌ, there were many reviews without a nasal bridge quote, and I liked those reviews too. - The line looked natural and pretty. 1) Consultant - Pressured me to pay a deposit (something about booking on the same day) - The consultant first made an estimate for the procedures I would need, but didn’t seem to have much of an eye for it (what she said differed from the director) - Said Director ㅇㅇㅌ is skilled at non-implant surgery and nostril-lowering surgery - Sends the quote by KakaoTalk or text. (Felt professional) 2) Director ㅇㅇㅌ - Pursues a natural look. - Seemed tired? But wasn’t unfriendly - Drew on my nose in Photoshop and showed me based on the side profile - Felt like he didn’t recommend anything that wasn’t really necessary. 3) Surgical method - Instead of terms like bulbous nose correction and long nose correction, they divided the surgery into detailed categories and added costs. ㄴ At another clinic, they said this is just to make it look like they’re doing a lot by splitting up the surgical methods, and that it all falls under X-nose correction. - Nasal tip: septal cartilage + ear cartilage. No need to use costal cartilage. (I kept asking about donated rib cartilage, but they said there was no need to do it) - Others: osteotomy, nostril lowering 4) Price - (If you leave your clinic, quote, and price in a comment, I’ll share mine too) 5) Aftercare - Free A/S for 1 year (excluding additional material costs and anesthesia fees) - Swelling care (injections, laser) - Skin care treatment - Scar tissue injections - Treatment kit provided (just for disinfecting at home and things like that) 6) Other negative evaluations - A consultant from another clinic said it tends to droop. - Many reviews say it’s disappointing because they pursue a natural look. - The reviews in this community are not good. 2. ㅇㅇㅅㅊㄷ - ㅇㅈㅎ (donated rib cartilage) 0) Reason I chose it - The reviews on ㅂㅂㅌ were okay. But many reviews included a nasal bridge quote. - The line looked glamorous and pretty. It felt the most glamorous of the three 1) Consultant - Strongly recommended donated rib cartilage. Did not recommend autologous costal cartilage. - She was kind, but talked a bit like an older sister who has had a lot of plastic surgery. - When I asked about side effects, autologous costal cartilage, and ear cartilage, she seemed to not recommend ear cartilage because it droops quickly anyway. - Said autologous costal cartilage is not great because it leaves a severe scar. It felt like she was saying to leave it for later, in case I ever need revision surgery, since revisions are mostly done with autologous costal cartilage. - I asked them to send the quote by KakaoTalk or text, and they did. 2) Director ㅇㅈㅎ - Pursues a naturally glamorous look. - High energy and detailed consultation. Searched for and showed various photos, was fairly kind and talked a lot. (In terms of consultation) - Likewise, didn’t recommend anything unless it was necessary. 3) Surgical method - Nasal tip: basic rhinoplasty + ear cartilage + donated rib cartilage. - Others: osteotomy added. No nostril lowering (I asked, and they said there would be changes anyway, so there was no need to do it) 4) Price - (If you leave your clinic, quote, and price in a comment, I’ll share mine too) 5) Aftercare - It was at the consultant’s desk, but I forgot.. I think it was similar to ㅁㅇㄷ except for the treatment kit. I don’t remember the A/S. 6) Other negative evaluations - There aren’t many reviews here and there. - They said he used to be at ㅇㄴ, but I couldn’t find that much there either. - For quote, aftercare, and A/S, ㅁㅇㄷ and ㅁㅋ shared details over the phone, but this place didn’t. 3. ㅁㅋ - ㅇㅈㅈ (autologous costal cartilage) 0) Reason I chose it - The reviews on ㅂㅂㅌ were okay. But many reviews included a nasal bridge quote. - The line looked naturally glamorous and pretty. 1) Consultant - We were talking about donated rib cartilage, and when I asked about autologous costal cartilage, she suddenly went all-in on autologous costal cartilage. - She was kind, but talked a bit like an older sister who has had a lot of plastic surgery. - While asking about other clinics’ quotes and prices, she said Clinic 1 is famous for drooping / for Clinic 2, ㅇㄴ should be avoided. (I don’t know why) - Said they do a ton of nose surgeries. She said if possible, wouldn’t it be better to use autologous costal cartilage and finish it with the first surgery? - The director is good with autologous costal cartilage, so the price difference between donated rib cartilage and autologous costal cartilage isn’t that big. 2) Director ㅇㅈㅈ - Pursues a naturally glamorous look? - Detailed consultation. Showed me 3D modeling and explained everything one by one. - Seemed confident with autologous costal cartilage. - Said autologous costal cartilage provides a large amount, so no other materials are needed at all, and even in the unlikely event that I need revision surgery, they can harvest from another rib, so it’s okay. ㄴ My friend asked if there are only two, left and right, but when he explained it, he made it sound like each rib could be used. 3) Surgical method - Nasal tip: basic rhinoplasty + hump nose + bulbous nose + autologous costal cartilage. - Others: osteotomy added.
