It’s been 1 month since I had incisional double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction, and I went in for my 1-month follow-up. There was slightly bumpy scar tissue along the line, and because of that, the line was forming in multiple folds, so they prescribed me medication. But this medication isn’t covered by insurance, so it was pretty expensive. Is it normal for me to pay for this medication out of pocket?.. The reason I initially decided to have the surgery was because they said that as part of aftercare after double eyelid surgery, if there was scar tissue or scarring, they would give injections without any extra charge. That made me think they provided good aftercare. They said it wasn’t severe enough to need injections and that medication would be enough, so they prescribed it, but in cases like this, does the patient usually cover the medication cost?…
또치링 Usually, if there’s scar tissue, doesn’t the clinic give a small scar tissue injection each time they check your progress..? With no separate fee. If the degree of scarring seems like it won’t improve with injections alone, I think they recommend medication with a long-term view. For that, you’d have to pay, I guess

궁금이245 The clinic wouldn’t pay for the medication, though.. Try saying that since the medication costs money, you’d like to get the injection instead
