I had surgery in early April. This was the clinic I had the highest expectations for after researching everywhere, but the consultation was short and they only marked the line on one eye, so I was a bit surprised. (I was fine with the fact that they did not recommend anything other than the surgery I wanted, since they did not seem to push unnecessary treatment.) Still, I thought there must be a reason they are famous, so after debating with another clinic I made a reservation here. On the day of surgery, I thought they would first design the line in the consultation room and then go into the operating room, but after washing my face and changing clothes I was taken straight into the operating room, which surprised me again. After waiting a little, the director came in and started the design while I was sitting on the operating table. But even during the design, rather than asking for my opinion, they judged on their own and designed a line they thought would be okay. The left-eye line they marked was not bad, but they designed the right eye without even showing me a mirror, which made me anxious... Of course, part of that was because I did not actively ask to see it or say how I wanted it, but the design ended so quickly and after lying down on the operating table I thought, 'Huh, is this really right...?' and I could not imagine how the result would turn out, so I was even more anxious.
After a short sedation, they woke me up and started the surgery. One thing I liked was that during the surgery, they did not chat with the nurses and were fully focused on the operation. During the surgery I just kept brainwashing myself with thoughts like, 'Let’s just trust the director and stay calm'
After the surgery, I got the recovery kit and a prescription for medicine. Thankfully, when I looked at the line right after surgery, it was very clean and I liked it, and the swelling seemed to go down faster than expected for an incision procedure. But after a few days, the swelling in the left eye went down more slowly than the right, and after the stitches were removed it became much more obvious, so the left side looked like it was higher and uneven. On top of that, the operated eye did not feel natural, and it seemed not to harmonize with my original face, and other shortcomings started to stand out, so honestly I thought it was ruined at that point. I called to say the eyes looked uneven and rushed in for a follow-up. When I explained the situation to the director, they said only two weeks had passed and it was too early to judge the result, and that they had tried their best to match the symmetry, so it would get better. I wanted to hear more, but it seemed they had another consultation before surgery and the appointment ended in a hurry, which was disappointing again.
About a month later, the swelling in the left eye that had not gone down started to slowly subside, and although there is still a slight unevenness, it is not very noticeable, so I am satisfied (the left eye originally had weaker opening strength than the right and was smaller, so that seems to have played a role too). Also, at first the fixation felt very deep, as if I had had eye opening surgery, so it was uncomfortable when looking straight ahead or up, but now, 50 days later, that discomfort is gone. In the end, people around me also say it turned out naturally and well. But now I want this line to stay; since I only had the incision and did not have any canthoplasty, I do regret not doing that, but I will think about it later and do it then if I feel I need it!
