Eye Surgery Reviews

Review of Ryu Bong-su

It was my first double eyelid consultation, so I was really nervous. First, I had a consultation with the consultant. She asked what concerns I had about my eyes and whether there was a line I wanted. I showed her a photo of Lee Sung-kyung’s eyes, and she said that since I have sunken eyes and epicanthal folds, if I only got double eyelid surgery, the line would get buried in the skin, and that I would need epicanthoplasty for it to show. But she said epicanthoplasty can be done later too, so I probably don’t necessarily need it right now. But at GNSR, they said my eyes need ptosis correction (I think the same), but here they said it’s simply buried in the skin, so it isn’t really necessary. But then they also said that ptosis correction would be done while doing the double eyelid surgery, so I don’t know what’s right Anyway, I think I consulted with the consultant for about 40-45 minutes. I asked everything I was curious about, like aftercare, anesthesia method, price, and so on, and she answered kindly. She said that later, if the line doesn’t come out well or comes undone, they would do revision surgery again.

After that, I had a consultation with the director. I had seen someone say in a consultation review that the director and consultant had said different things, so I asked again about the line and ptosis correction. The director said that while he was in surgery, he had told the consultant to explain it that way, so I felt a bit relieved. But the director also said that it seemed like I wouldn’t need ptosis correction. For everything else, he kindly explained everything directly right in front of my nose with his own eyes lol

1. Well, when both the consultant and the director said things like, “We absolutely won’t leave a scar,” and “I don’t tie the muscle, I align the structure,” I kind of let it go in one ear, so it was fine. 2. Some people had said the facilities weren’t that good, but it somehow felt like a home, and I actually felt less nervous than I would at a flashy place. Also, the director/consultation manager seemed a bit older, and maybe because of that, it felt comfortable to ask questions and have the consultation.

So I’m planning to set a date around January and tell them I want an incisional inline double eyelid with ptosis correction too. I booked late, so I could only consult at two places, but definitely go to at least three places!!
