The doctor is an ENT specialist. In my case, when I had the consultation, he said we should use rib cartilage for everything. I still had one ear left, so honestly using rib cartilage felt burdensome. And I heard he only does one surgery a day. Even so, it gave the feeling that using rib cartilage would make the surgery much bigger.
