I first came across the director on YouTube, and because I wanted to meet them in person and ask lots of questions, I paid the expensive consultation fee (100,000 won) and was told an in-person consult would only be possible a month later, so I waited for the appointment with high expectations. My impression of the consultation was just... haha. I had expected something like this to some extent, but it was even more than that. I thought they would be frank, use direct language, and say only what was necessary without any fluff, but absolutely not. After entering while wearing a mask, they never once lowered the mask to look directly at my face or even touched my skin to check its texture, and just explained things while looking only at the 3D CT. And if you’re even a little overweight, do not go there. I wanted to ask about reconstruction methods and how the effects would appear, but every answer was just that I needed to lose weight, that if I did it while fat my face would just get bigger, that if I lose weight there would be less jaw sagging, and every question came back to lose weight. I told them to stop saying “lose weight” so openly and just answer the question, that I wasn’t saying I was going to have surgery tomorrow in that condition, but they said things like, “You don’t want to hear that you should lose weight at this height and weight?” and kept making insulting remarks without hesitation because I wanted to get a smaller face after already having bone shaved... They lumped all patients together, saying how could patients always say the same thing, and also said they’ve seen many patients, but this is my first time seeing them... I told them to stop. It was the last consultation slot before leaving work, so the consultation manager who came in was trying to wrap things up and answer instead. Even so, I tried to endure it because I didn’t want to waste the month I’d waited and the consultation fee, but I just couldn’t. I wasn’t saying I was going to have surgery the day after tomorrow, and I wasn’t even asking for exact millimeter measurements of how much base cement they would use in reconstruction. Could they have been so dominated by the thought of “I need to tell them to lose weight” that they couldn’t answer even simple questions for a patient who waited a month and paid 100,000 won to sit there? Even when I explicitly told them not to say that. Anyway, if you’re thinking about surgery or a consultation here, just write your questions down and get an online consultation. That way they probably won’t go off on their own thoughts and will only answer the questions. Since they spent the whole time talking about weight, there wasn’t even any surgery talk, so I left without needing an estimate. When I asked by KakaoTalk, they said reconstruction was 550+@ per side (left cheekbone, right square jaw, etc.)
