They give objective and very blunt reality checks about bone surgery. They’re quite persuasive, so they’re also famous on YouTube because of this. Subscribers treat them like some kind of answer key for doctors, but I have doubts. What’s easy to overlook is that this person is a doctor who does reconstruction. So there are many unsuccessful cases, and naturally they tend to emphasize the parts they say they’re good at. In reality, many patients are not satisfied with surgeries done by this doctor, and reconstruction is probably mainly done with implants, but the risks and side effects of that are not mentioned in the videos. Even implants carry quite a lot of risk when you look into them.... If you are truly desperate for cosmetic surgery and want it to go safely and well, I think it’s better to think about it from multiple angles, because this person is not the answer... It seems best to take in what’s worth hearing and filter out the rest. They probably started making videos to communicate with patients and provide facts, but I wonder if, behind that, they started YouTube like a niche market because there weren’t many patients coming in, while everyone else was too busy doing surgeries to do YouTube. When I watched this doctor’s videos early on, at first I purely believed them and thought well of them to the point of feeling grateful, but when I thought about it the other way, there were suspicious parts, and in fact quite a few people suffer side effects from the surgeries this doctor promotes..

Eye Surgery Considerations@eye-thinkMar 29 Between donated rib cartilage and autologous costal cartilage, which do you prefer more?
It's revision surgery for a bulbous nose, and for the material I'm thinking of rib cartilage. I'm about 80% leaning toward autologous costal cartilage. They say autologous costal cartilage is my own, so side effects are relatively fewer…
