Eye Surgery Reviews

Private review

Director J seems to have very firm aesthetic standards of their own. They strongly said that canthoplasty + ptosis correction, which I had not planned on, absolutely had to be done, using a somewhat intimidating way of speaking as if I had a serious external flaw. I went to nearly ten places, and except for this hospital’s consultation, most said they could achieve the result I wanted without canthoplasty. Not a single hospital said canthoplasty was essential rather than optional. I felt that my opinion and the direction I was pursuing were not respected.

Even if they were recommending canthoplasty, it would have been different if they had also considered my opinion or the change in my image, but without any of that, I felt they were recommending opening it too much and too extensively. Rather than considering changes to my original image or overall impression, it seemed like they decided whether additional surgery was needed based on a fixed, firm standard. Personally, I think satisfaction is higher when cosmetic surgery is done in a direction that considers facial harmony rather than mechanical measurements.. so it was very different from the direction I had in mind, and it was an unsatisfactory consultation.

The waiting time was long, and the estimate was on the expensive side. I remember the inside of the hospital itself being very clean and nice.
