Before/after <immediately after surgery> after <6 months later> before <I consulted with this photo..> In 2018, without shopping around even once, I heard that an acquaintance of a coworker had double eyelid surgery here, and for some reason I got fixated on it and impulsively had my first surgery.
I originally had inline double eyelids, but my epicanthal folds were somewhat deep, and after gaining weight and entering my late 20s, one side kept coming undone and being covered by my upper eyelid. I had picked up somewhere the idea that pinching a double eyelid was not even on the level of plastic surgery, misunderstood it, and impulsively had my first cosmetic surgery like this.
It was at a large hospital near Gangnam Station, and the surgeon was the head director. I asked him not to change my impression, just to the level of my existing double eyelid line. Then he recommended ptosis correction too, and said that if I did upper canthoplasty very~ slightly, my eyes would look more open. I asked him to do that. And I slept deeply under full sedation, woke up, and my eyes became like this.
Because of overcorrection and a high line, I struggled functionally and aesthetically, so at 6 months I had line lowering + ptosis correction release. My wide-open inner eye corners.. I could not even bring up the break in my aegyo-sal.
I released the ptosis correction and lowered the line, but they still were not the eyes I was aiming for, and the inner part of the line was high, making my eyes triangular and easily look tired and angry. In reality, my eyes also got tired easily, so in the summer of 2023 or so(?) I asked them to remove the threads completely, and only now have they become comfortable.
Where did my old gentle-looking eyes go? Even though they said the ptosis correction had definitely been released, my eyes still look burdensome, as if the fixation is deep.
I am not sure if I can reveal the hospital.. Everyone, be careful. It was the head director of a large hospital near Gangnam Station. It was not light sedation; it was surgery where I slept deeply and woke up afterward, all 3 times.
Now I am going to have epicanthoplasty restoration and line lowering, and I absolutely will not do it under sedation.
