Eye Surgery Reviews

Review after visiting clinics for eye surgery at ㅂㄹㅇ

Consultation review for canthoplasty (lateral + lower canthoplasty) with Director Kim Cha-su at ㅂㄹㅇ I saw this place because it became a hot topic for 100,000 won eye surgery, and when I saw that canthoplasty was also 100,000 won, I went for a consultation. The building really was nice. It was truly right in front of Exit 2 of Sinnonhyeon Station, and it seemed like valet parking was available, but I was on foot, so I just... walked in. This place was the same as other places too: consultant consultation - director consultation - final consultant consultation!

The wait time was really short for a large clinic (around 5 p.m. on a weekday). During the consultation with the consultant, I asked if it was really 100,000 won, and she said there really were no additional fees, though sleep anesthesia is charged separately... She also told me that I couldn’t designate the director, but I already knew that when I booked the consultation, so it was fine. The consultant took a quick look, and from her view, my eyes didn’t seem to have much space at the outer corners. She said the director would examine me in detail later, but that was how it looked to her. She asked if I had a desired eye shape, so I showed her photos of Liz with extremely widened outer corners... I thought showing photos like that might make them try to make it as similar as possible

Then I had the consultation with the director. The director was saying things like, “Why do you even want to do it?” But when I showed the photos of Liz, he immediately said that the bone is blocking the back, so like the other clinics I had visited so far, if I widen it toward the back, the red flesh will show, and if I widen it excessively, I probably won’t feel very satisfied... If the goal is to look softer, it would be better to just slightly widen downward instead. If it’s for my own satisfaction, he could widen the back very slightly, but he couldn’t confidently say he would widen it as much as I would be satisfied with. He was extremely honest. So if I were to do it, he recommended very slight lateral canthoplasty (my own greed..)+lower canthoplasty.

It was 100,000 won with no additional fees (sleep anesthesia fee of 100,000 won separate), so lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty were 100,000 won each, making it 200,000 won if done separately. I didn’t feel confident about tolerating anesthesia, so I just added 100,000 won for sleep anesthesia, and doing all of this came to 300,000 won, or 330,000 won including VAT. There wasn’t really any pressure to book or anything like that... I guess it’s a price that’s possible because it’s a large clinic, or maybe I wonder if that price is actually possible... The price really does seem like a merit.
