The director looks over things very carefully. He has a good eye and aesthetic sense, and he can accurately see my face better than I can myself. As expected, nothing beats the accumulated experience of actually performing procedures. But when I said I would look around other places a bit more, the assistant’s tone changed slightly, which felt a bit off.
