I had originally applied for consultations at 8 places, but I put down a reservation deposit at one hospital and canceled the others....^^ Sorry to the people who were looking forward to it after reading my previous post///
Anyone can tell my nose is long, with a slight hump, and a short columella... The tip skin is on the thicker side!!! The horizontal length of my eyes is fine, but I have a slight ptosis (I didn’t know that..) and I’ve often been told I have eyes that would do well with double-eyelid surgery even though they’re just a tiny bit protruding. I looked into my nose more thoroughly than my eyes... because I thought the nose carries a bit more risk!! Please take that into account when reading!!!!
1. ㅁㅎ (nose only here!!) I had a CT scan, and the manager did not especially recommend other procedures!! But the atmosphere was not very comfortable... Maybe because it was before lunch, it didn’t feel very friendly!! I had originally planned to consult about my eyes too, but Gangnam traffic was bad from the morning.... I was a little late, so I skipped it!! They explained the reason, and I trusted it because they said they should not keep a patient who has surgery scheduled later under anesthesia for too long, so that part felt credible. The director definitely gave off a “pro” feel, and he recommended a moderate septal graft, shaving down some of the hump, and using costal cartilage for the columella,, He said that because I have a habit of tilting my head up often, he was worried about my nostrils, and that he could correct nostril asymmetry by adjusting the cartilage placement.. I think he meant he would slightly change the direction or something like that.?? The skin at the tip of my nose is a bit thick, but since I’m aiming for a natural yet pretty result and won’t be lifting it too much, he said that was fine! He even lifted my nasal tip with a cotton swab for me to try! He also drew a diagram on paper himself to explain it, and after the explanation he told me to ask anything else I was curious about, so at least there was some time to ask questions... But since it was my first consultation, maybe I was nervous and couldn’t ask much...
Among the places I visited, this was the most expensive and the only one that recommended costal cartilage. I got a quote for nose only, and it was in the high 5 million won range...!!! There was a consultation fee!
2. ㅇㅇㄷ (eyes + nose together!!) Surprisingly, I couldn’t choose the director........ They said I would first consult with the manager, and then the manager would bring the director who was right for me (it seemed like they just brought whoever had time) Anyway, while consulting, I voiced my opinions and they accepted them well, and said costal cartilage wasn’t necessary! For the eyes, they said absolutely not to do an inner corner canthoplasty, but when I looked at my own photos, I actually kind of wanted a bit of inner corner opening... so I was surprised!! + They strongly emphasized that I should get ptosis correction with incision, and said my eyes would turn out pretty... They kept saying there was no need to worry because I had eyes that would look good.. Since I have no fat, they said they wouldn’t remove fat... I went in with no big expectations, so I mostly took it with a grain of salt.. They looked at my nose shape with a cotton swab, and used a wooden toothpick? a skewer? something like that to mark my eye line.
The manager kept recommending silicone, but because my midface is so long... I didn’t really want to raise the bridge or the glabella, so I refused Surprisingly... they wrote the cost information on the surgery reservation form;;;; Looking back, I don’t know why, but unbelievably I ended up paying the reservation deposit here.. (I got a refund now!!!!!!) Everyone, please be careful!! According to the manager, this director had done a lot of eyes and noses for staff members, but I’m not sure.. When I got home and looked up the director, he had about 3 years of experience, and there were reviews for eyes but none at all for noses... When I contacted the manager, they said they control the number of reviews themselves... They said they didn’t add more nose reviews because then the director would become too popular, which was absurd, so I got a refund!!
There was a CT scan, and they also did a growth plate scan??... They said if that’s closed, rhinoplasty is difficult. Consultation fee: free! They gave me a free coupon for the café in the hospital building, so I ate something tasty... ^^ The CCTV is fully recorded! If you consent, you can view the full recording separately (free), and after surgery it includes swelling laser treatment and aftercare.. I’m not sure what it was, but after surgery about 200,000 won? worth of points are accumulated, and you can later use those points for procedures at this hospital whenever you want... They also had a dermatology clinic and a dental clinic! Those could be used too. The price was the cheapest!! For eyes and nose together, it was in the high 4 million won range + if you agree to reviews, photos, etc., it was around 4 million!
3. ㅇㅍ (separate directors for eyes + nose!) Here they took a CT scan + photos of me from all angles, top and bottom, left and right!! No consultation fee at all I don’t know if I should say this, but the atmosphere felt similar to the pediatric clinic near my house, so it was comfortable... It didn’t feel like such a huge hospital, so it felt cozier!! (Maybe because they had Christmas carols playing in the background^^...) I had already chosen two directors in advance, and there was no waiting time separately! They also recommended shaving down the hump here, and the director was very, um... confident? Everyone, when someone asks about something you know well, you end up talking passionately too, right?? It felt like that kind of consultation, so it seemed reassuring and interesting... They explained everything while holding my nose with a cotton swab, and for the unevenness, they said they would be the only place to use dermis!! I’m a little uncomfortable with autologous tissue, so when I asked, they said they would use artificial dermis (Megaderm)!! They had experience shaving down humps a lot, and instead of showing only things uploaded on the website, they showed me photos taken at the hospital (by stage) and explained them! They understood and sympathized with my focus on midface proportions...^^ Also, uniquely.. they said my septal cartilage was on the abundant side! At other places it was described as moderate + not plentiful, but after understanding the line I wanted, they said I probably wouldn’t need costal cartilage and that my septal cartilage would be enough! They explained in advance the alternative plan that if they opened it and the septal cartilage was insufficient, ear cartilage could be used additionally.. (that was on my question list) They also briefly looked at my eyes (since I said I was considering doing eyes and nose together, I brought up harmony), and said they were eyes that would turn out well!! This doctor also does eyes, but since I had chosen another director... they didn’t go into much detail, but they seemed to have a good relationship with the director who would do my eye surgery!!
For the eyes, it was another director!! (I consulted with two directors back to back here too) I was also recommended ptosis correction here, and when they mentioned incision, I accepted it humbly... Interestingly, they recommended inner corner canthoplasty!! They said the lacrimal caruncle in my eyes was somewhat covered, and that if they opened it just a little in an upper-inner-corner style, it would look pretty, so I agreed!! Every time I looked at my photos, I thought my glabella was reeeeeally just slightly wide... but they caught that too and said they would open it with a very slight shocking! kind of feel... They said they would remove a little fat, and that with the same double-eyelid surgery my eyes would look pretty!! This director told me I’m a case with slightly protruding eyes! Unlike other clinics, instead of a wooden skewer? it was a very soft metal liner..? how should I describe it?? You know what I mean, right? They used that to set the line, and since my eyesight is really poor, it was easier and nicer to look in the mirror with that than with a skewer!!!! It didn’t hurt either.
I felt the price here was reasonable.. Looking at other reviews, mine seems a bit on the higher side, but for eyes and nose together it was around 5 million!! (App reviews, website photos) There is CCTV, and they said if a guardian wants, they can provide live access on a tablet (requests can be made at 10-minute intervals). The manager was kind.. She said she had gotten her eyes done at this hospital too... They were pretty and natural!
If you’re curious about anything, leave a comment!! I worked hard on this!!!
