Review 6 Months After Nose Surgery

I had a hump nose osteotomy, 3.5 mm silicone, and ear cartilage harvested to raise the nasal tip. Month 1: Most of the swelling had gone down, but when putting on makeup, if I touched around my nose or tapped my cheeks with a puff, my nose would shake and I’d feel a tingling sensation. Like pins and needles. Month 2: It was almost the same as month 1, but I was able to wash my face more actively and clean every corner better. Month 3: I had it done with ear cartilage, and I don’t know if they placed a support strut in the columella, but I can’t make a pig nose and it’s incredibly hard. So makeup became a little freer, but I still treat the nasal tip very gently. I often thought, oh, the swelling could still go down more! Month 3 was when my nose looked the slimmest and most pointed. Month 4: The pointed look starts to settle down. The nostril wings are soft, and I can feel that the skin covering the nasal tip is soft, but it’s still hard. It feels like they put bone in there, not just cartilage. Month 5: I got used to all the discomfort and naturally became careful. Strangely, a lot of tiny millet-sized bumps like folliculitis came up on my nose around this time. So I went to a dermatologist and was prescribed skin antibiotics, and after applying Esroban ointment well, they either went down on their own or came off like sebum if I lightly flicked them with a fingernail. But they do come back if I don’t manage them. Month 6: It’s not much different from month 5. After nose surgery, for a nose like mine that had a lot of manipulation, I don’t think there’s really a moment of, hmm, now this is completely my nose! It feels like I’m living with a bit of discomfort. My nostrils became slightly uneven and elongated, and I can only breathe well about 80% of the way (because the nostrils were pulled and became narrower. My nostrils were small to begin with too). I absolutely can’t put a finger in, and I just gently clean with ointment or saline on a cotton swab. I don’t know what will happen going forward!
