First of all, Botox is... really famous, right? It’s an injection that reduces muscle. For someone like me, who has liked hard or chewy foods like gum, squid, and meat since childhood and has always had a square jaw, it’s truly a groundbreaking injection. The effect shows up in just a week, and people say things like, “Did you lose weight?” and “You got prettier,” so starting from age 20, whenever I felt my jaw muscles had gotten even a little bigger, I got jaw Botox... Then at some point I wanted a pretty shoulder line, and since I originally had severe shoulder tightness and often got physical therapy at orthopedics clinics or Korean medicine clinics, I had heard in passing that Botox was also effective for shoulder pain, so from then on I also got trapezius injections a couple of times a year. Of course the effect is good. You can see the disappeared muscle temporarily and right away...
But unless you have a very severe square jaw or bad habits like teeth grinding, I don’t recommend Botox procedures. Everyone knows the side effects of bone-shaving surgery, right? Sagging skin... Botox also causes sagging. It’s not like the skin is sliding down as much as with bone surgery, but you can get neck wrinkles or neck fat. And the flesh that the muscles were originally holding in place spreads downward and sideways, and maybe because the muscles are paralyzed and natural movement disappears, nasolabial folds can form too... Then the cost of getting lifting and contouring injections to get rid of that also increases.. You don’t really notice after one or two times. Once it increases to about five times or more, you start to feel it. There’s much more fat under the chin than before, and because the chin fat has no elasticity, it stretches out People don’t seem to know about these side effects well... The trapezius also has sagging. The amount the trapezius used to be raised turns straight into flesh, and it’s kind of clumped there, like a camel... The trapezius forms from bad posture and comes back very easily anyway, so instead of spending money on trapezius Botox, get Pilates, PT, or posture correction. I recommend it only as an urgent fix for people who have important occasions where they need to show their body, like shopping mall models or photo shoots, and I don’t recommend it for ordinary people.
Contouring injections had 0 effect for me.. lol I don’t recommend them. Felt like throwing money away.
Chin filler makes breakouts appear on my chin..... I spent more at dermatology clinics because of the breakouts caused by the filler than the cost of the filler itself.. But some people don’t get them, so it depends on the person. My face shape really changed in a way I liked, but because deep breakouts appeared that I couldn’t do anything about myself, I don’t recommend it. The hyperpigmentation is no joke.. It’s even more annoying than breakouts from PMS, so think carefully about chin filler.
