Nose Surgery Reviews

Nose surgery review

It has already been a year and a half since my nose surgery. I had a no-implant procedure, with the tip done using septal cartilage and ear cartilage, hump reduction and osteotomy, and cartilage placed on the bridge. 1. Before surgery, the main criteria I used to choose a hospital were whether it was a single-surgeon clinic and whether the operating room had CCTV, and Bitwin met those conditions. I was stressed about a humped nose, a hooked nose, a long nose, and a bulbous nose. My aesthetic goal was a natural nose rather than an overly glamorous one. So during the consultation I mentioned these points, and I showed them photos of the nose I wanted along with my list of questions. Since it was my first nose surgery, I had written down a lot of questions (a little sorry...), but they explained everything kindly one by one, which moved me. They reviewed everything in detail while looking at the CT images. I think the consultation lasted more than 30 minutes. I felt such strong confidence from how thorough they were and how much they seemed to care about each patient that I made the deposit right after the consultation haha. 2. On the day of surgery On the day of surgery, I brought up again to the doctor the nose I wanted and the parts that had been stressing me during the consultation, and then went into the operating room. (When I changed clothes, the underwear looked kind of funny, so I remember laughing a bit...) The nurses were so kind.. I wasn't scared until just before entering the operating room, but the moment I went in, they put an IV in my arm, disinfected my face, tied my hair tightly, trimmed my nose hairs, and all sorts of thoughts came to me, like maybe I shouldn't have done this, and my legs were shaking badly. But the nurse explained each step and reassured me, which I appreciated. Then I went under sedation, and I slept so well. 👍🏻 The last time I had double eyelid surgery at another hospital, I woke up in the middle and heard all the sounds of the surgery, which was awful, but this time I slept deeply and really well. When I woke up, the surgery was over. Then I went home. 3. After surgery On day 1, it hurt as the anesthesia wore off, but more than the pain, my throat was so dry that it was really hard. One thing I learned from nose surgery: make sure to prepare a humidifier and drink lots of water. Put water in a spray bottle and mist it into your mouth. (A pretty useful tip...) *For reference, the packing comes out on day 2, the splint and columella stitches come out at week 1, and the stitches inside the nose and behind the ear come out at week 2. For aftercare, the hospital gives antibiotic injections and swelling laser treatment. Every time I went to the hospital for a follow-up, the doctor checked my progress, and the nurse who removed the stitches was also so kind and did it so well while reassuring me 👍🏻 It had such a family-like atmosphere..🥹 After surgery, it is a series of waiting.. After surgery, I thought there would be nothing to worry about, but I worried even more.. Still, it was all something that time would solve.. So do not keep looking in the mirror, eat as well as you can, and manage the swelling properly. Right after removing the packing, I kept looking in the mirror wondering if my nostrils were asymmetrical, and right after removing the splint I kept taking pictures wondering if my nose was too high. I had all kinds of thoughts to the point that I felt like I was going crazy alone, but all of it was swelling. haha (embarrassing) Because of that I kept messaging the manager on chat asking about everything and probably annoying them, sorry haha. Right now my nostrils are very symmetrical (maybe even more symmetrical than before), and the swelling in my nose is gradually going down, so it is approaching the shape I wanted. I am now a year and a half out, and I really love it and am very satisfied!!! Coming up from the countryside and going back and forth to Seoul was a bit hard, but even so I think I really made the right decision to do it. I am so satisfied.
