Before surgery, when viewed from the front, my nasal bridge was clearly crooked, and anyone could see it was a crooked nose, so the mental stress was no joke.. The nasal tip was also upturned, so my nostrils were very visible.. and they were completely asymmetric. Because the nostril sizes were uneven, it was not just an aesthetic issue; functionally, problems also developed, and it was hard to breathe through one side, so I was under a lot of stress in many ways
It has now been 3 months since surgery. I don't remember everything about exactly how the nose surgery was done, but I remember receiving columella lowering, correction of nostril asymmetry, and surgery for an upturned nose, and the materials used were silicone for the nasal bridge + autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip
The autologous costal cartilage harvest site has no pain at all now, so I think exercise should be fine, and only now has almost all the swelling gone down, so I'm out of the phase where I looked like a fish-person? or a bulbous-nose character.. My nose was an extreme case among extreme noses, so the recovery period was really long, and even after nose surgery, I went to the hospital regularly for treatment and follow-up checks They said the skin-grafted area inside my nose has almost completely healed and recovered If I look closely, I can still see some scarring
They said I have to wear the silicone splint for about 6 months, so I wear it only when I'm at home Now that 3 months have passed, I guess I have to wear it for 3 more months
