What mattered to me was not how high the nose was, but the nose line, and I wanted a natural almost-straight line and to correct the blunt tip of my nose, especially since I disliked the feeling of the columella and nose tip drooping when I smiled. And if possible, I wanted to do it without an implant. They also did a consultation with a CT scan here, and said that if they removed the silicone and tied the cartilage, it would become thinner than it is now. At the previous hospital, they told me something completely different, which was confusing (both sounded right though If you don't care about making the nose higher and only want to correct the tip, they said it could also be done without an implant...
