I’m on the younger side. I had three types of facial contouring about 6 years ago, and my skin quality is naturally not good; it’s thin and loose, so the sagging is severe. Laser lifting and thread lifting had no effect, so I’m going around looking into a mini facelift. For now, I’m filtering out factory-style and large clinics, and I went for consultations at two places with a single director. I’ll post my review.
ㄷㅇ(ㅏㅜㅁ) No consultation fee. The waiting time was a bit long. During the consultation with the director, they put my face photos up full-screen on the wall of the director’s office and analyzed them while consulting very thoroughly. They pointed out exactly the areas I was concerned about. The director also felt warm, like a father, and was kind. They said the surgery goes in by dissecting the retaining ligaments of the SMAS layer, the same as a traditional facelift, and because I have a lot of skin to remove, they said an additional incision area behind the ear would be included. I also asked about improving sunken cheeks, and they said the current cheek hollowness could be pulled up with a mini facelift and improved. They said people with thin skin should absolutely not get fat grafting or fillers. They showed me a lot of before-and-after photos of cases similar to mine, and everyone’s surgery had turned out very dramatically and very well. But what was a bit confusing is that they said they put in threads. They said the threads adhere and help the result last longer, but I don’t know what that means. For the price, there’s an additional fee for people who have had facial contouring surgery, and mine came out to a total of 6.8 million.
ㅍㄹㄴ(ㅡㄹ ㅐ ㅣㅅ) Consultation fee 20,000 won. No waiting time. After taking photos of my face, I had a consultation with the consultant -> then went into the director consultation. Honestly, the director consultation ended too quickly and felt cursory. But the incision range was the widest and similar to a traditional facelift, so they emphasized that the holding power is long and lasts a long time, saying it lasts 10 years, and I was drawn to the way they seemed confident about it. I asked whether the areas with cheek hollowness could improve with a facelift, and they said that is not within the range that a facelift can address, and told me to get fat grafting or filler after the facelift. (A different answer from the director at the clinic above.) They only briefly showed me a few before-and-after surgery photos, and I couldn’t see many photos. For the price, there is an additional charge in the million-won range for people who had facial contouring. First of all, Plus-Up Lifting? This mini facelift base price was over 10 million won. The total came out to far over 10 million won. For a mini facelift, it’s too burdensome a price But because they take great pride in extremely thorough aftercare and high longevity, it does make me think about it.
For now, I’m planning to visit other places too and get it done early next year!!
