First of all, I wanted to proceed with surgery only as minimally as possible, so I was considering 1-type chin-tip surgery. My chin was not severe, but it was on the long side, and the fact that it looked even longer when I smiled was a complex of mine. After thinking about it for 5 years, I finally made up my mind and went for consultations. To be honest, compared with how difficult facial contouring surgery is, it is not an area that gives as dramatically new an impression as the eyes or nose, so I also thought about just living with it. But I felt like I would keep worrying about it endlessly for the rest of my life, so I ended up visiting hospitals. I like a slightly angular square jaw, so I had no intention of touching that, and I do not really have much cheekbone prominence. So rather than a doll-like chin or V-line, I chose hospitals with harmony with my own face as the top priority.
1. Woori This is a place said to make results look natural. For the chin tip, they said a T-osteotomy would be performed, and to eliminate secondary angles, the square jaw would need to be done together. Since it would be 2 types, a drainage tube would be inserted. Same-day discharge. Come back the next day to have it removed.
I said I felt burdened going as far as the square jaw, and they said chin-tip surgery alone would be possible, but secondary angles could form, and when the skin covers them, they may or may not be visible.
2. Made Young I visited here too because I had heard they do natural-looking results. They talked about metal-free 1-type chin-tip surgery. It is a shaving/rotational contouring procedure about the length of the lips, so there are no secondary angles. Since it is 1 type, same-day discharge. Dissolvable sutures. Other laser care for 2 weeks.
They do perform osteotomy here too, but it felt like they choose depending on the patient's condition. The price is high, but I did not care about the price.
3. Ipche I visited here because I was debating between the two options and wanted to think about a slightly better surgical method. If only 1-type chin-tip surgery is done, it would be a T-osteotomy. If the chin tip and square jaw are done together, they recommended long-curve shaving/rotational contouring. They said that for the face to look smaller, the width from the corners of the mouth to the chin has to be reduced, and if the square jaw is done as well, the face can look smaller.
In conclusion, because I only wanted to overcome my complex and wanted the most minimal surgery, I chose option 2.
