I decided to have surgery because I was concerned about the sunken lacrimal caruncle area in my left eye as seen in the photo. Honestly, I was only planning to operate on the left side, which was my concern, but the clinic said it would be better to do both sides to match the symmetry, so I proceeded with both sides.
After the consultation, I had such a good feeling about it that I asked if same-day surgery was possible, and decided to go ahead with surgery that day. It seemed like a clinic that was good at the rounded-but-pointed shape I wanted (V-Y method?)
I think they did the surgery well, but the issue is that during surgery, when they woke me from anesthesia and showed me the mirror, because of the anesthesia medication, I couldn’t make a rational judgment, and I said that the right side (in the photo) seemed too closed off.
After the surgery was over, it seemed like they finished the surgery so that the lacrimal caruncle in my right eye would show more, just as I had said while under the medication, so I’m a bit worried now…
Actually, I had the surgery because I was worried about the sunken lacrimal caruncle area in my left eye, and I think the left eye has been fixed? But now, unintentionally, I’m worried about my right eye. I’m afraid the lacrimal caruncle might show a lot like the left side did before surgery…
Even though these are front-facing selfies, what do you think..? Does it look like the right lacrimal caruncle is exposed a lot..?
