I wanted to get rhinoplasty because of my bulbous nose, so I searched through clinics and chose one I liked..^^;; But.. even after surgery, my nose shape was still the same(?), so I tried asking for aftercare revision.. requesting early correction.. and so on, but the clinic completely ignored everything.. Even the consultant just sent a short KakaoTalk message: “It may be swelling, so you need to wait at least 6 months~” I seriously wanted to tear the building down
So I forced myself to wait those 6 months. It wasn’t swelling. I knew it. I waited because the clinic said there was nothing they could do.. But just as I expected, even after 6 months the swelling didn’t go down, so then the clinic changed its tune again.. They said to wait over 1 year.. that the nose tip can take longer to go down.. I foolishly waited.. I slowly let go of hope and tried to think positively in a way that wouldn’t torture myself, while looking into revision rhinoplasty clinics..
The three criteria I set again for a revision rhinoplasty clinic.. - A clinic that doesn’t tell me everything is possible - A clinic with many reviews showing big before-and-after differences - Filtering out factory-style clinics and choosing a clinic with long experience
Honestly, for revision surgery I wanted to go to a clinic with a proven track record, and I looked for a well-known clinic that I had long known many people went to for revision surgery (not the clinic name, don’t misunderstand X), and started with a consultation..! I went to a total of 4 consultations, narrowed it down to 2 of them, thought it over, and decided on this place.
<Brief info> I had surgery from the head director Osteotomy was performed, the nose tip was built with donated costal cartilage, and the silicone implant was replaced Surgery was in June last year
Why am I only writing the review now?? Because you can only know the fully settled nose shape after time passes, yep, I experienced it myself 6 months or 1 year isn’t enough lol (even though clinics call it the stable period~) I experienced swelling that didn’t go down, and the shape was exactly the same as at first. Honestly, I did like it from the beginning after getting revision nose surgery here!! But I think I felt it would be more convincing if I waited it out no matter what and then talked about the parts I was satisfied with. I wanted to wait until even the nose-tip swelling fully went down, and see whether the nose tip collapsed over time, whether any asymmetry appeared.. whether the bridge looked crooked, and so on.. I wanted to check more carefully and talk about the result only when I felt certain...
Anyway, everyone, rather than just being happy that it looks pretty as soon as the splint comes off, I hope you become even more sensitive from then on! Check your physical condition carefully and take good care of it.. That’s why it’s right to go to a clinic that communicates well... Don’t go to a place where, after going to a large clinic, you don’t even get to see the director’s face and have to communicate only with the consultant the whole time.. (Of course, systems differ at each large clinic) You should absolutely talk to the person who operated on your nose.. Talking with someone who has never even seen the inside of your nose is just.. such a big risk, you know??
