(Why I decided to have surgery) - Lack of confidence - A childish body type.. feeling like I had no feminine appeal - Self-esteem - I wanted to wear pretty clothes to my heart's content - I had no hips and no chest, so I looked too sparse
That about sums it up, but I think all the little reasons are connected. Everyone has similar reasons for surgery, but anyway!! I had surgery because I wanted to increase my breast size, and it's been about two weeks now lol. I thought of it as my last cosmetic surgery fund and really made up my mind to do it, so I don't think I'll have any more cosmetic surgery plans on this scale in the future...
(The hospital I chose) When I was looking at breast surgery reviews, I also looked up the bad ones and set my own criteria, thinking, "Avoid places like this" or "I need to go somewhere that definitely provides this." So what I came up with was: - Can they do breast exams? - Do they offer a wide range of aftercare? - Is it under general anesthesia? - Can you be admitted for an overnight stay? - Is it a place that specializes only in breasts? (No other cosmetic procedures) - No more than one director doctor.. - More than 20 years of experience? - Cleanliness of the hospital, especially the operating room - How long the manager has been at the hospital - Is there lifetime aftercare? - Do they communicate well with surgical patients?
It might sound suffocating when you look at it, but it's my body and I'm the one trusting them with surgery. So I ended up checking things very carefully. Even with a doctor's experience, what does it matter if they've spent over 20 years at a large hospital? They could just be filling years on paper, or they might have wasted five years at a hospital that wasn't doing well, right??
We can't verify all of that, but at least if they've been operating at a <breast-specialty hospital> for a long time, they must have handled breasts only, at minimum. So I thought they'd have seen far more cases and be better at making surgical plans! That's why I went to several consultations and, based on the criteria I set, had the surgery at Glam, and so far I'm satisfied!
(My physical condition after surgery) I think everyone will be wondering when they can go back to work. I had an inframammary incision with dual-plane placement, so I think it's best to just rest at home for 3 days including the day of surgery, and if you can take about 2 more days off, it would be good to go to the hospital, take off the bandages, check your progress at ease, and even go for walks! But if you don't have that kind of leeway, it seems like going back to work on day 4 would be okay! Of course, that's assuming your stamina is similar to mine... This also varies from person to person and case to case People say different things. Anyway, this is my experience! By day 4, I was able to change clothes and do things without any trouble.
(About the swelling) My abdominal swelling still hasn't gone down completely..? It has gone down a bit compared to before, but now my legs feel swollen And at the beginning I couldn't have a bowel movement, so I bought some laxatives and took them ^^ I just didn't get the signal at all... I didn't expect that. And there's still quite a bit of swelling in my breasts, but I'm watching and waiting because I think it'll keep going down for at least 4 to 5 months!
(Satisfaction) Right now I'm being extremely careful not to strain my arms, but if I just touch my breasts by myself when I'm alone, they still feel very firm. Still, the area under the breasts feels a little softer? And the swelling feels different on the left and right breasts Mine especially feels firmer on the right side. But when I first saw my breasts after the bandages came off, I was surprised because they were more natural than I expected!! The manager said the upper fullness doesn't seem that severe, and that it looks like it'll settle quickly, so I'm waiting. I need to go back soon for another follow-up, but I don't know whether I'll end up needing an upper band or not
If there are any others who are curious, feel free to ask anytime! I'll answer everything I can within what I know!!
