Honestly, if I had been in my early 20s, I think I might have tried something a bit more glamorous, like a semi-outfold? But as I got older, I started thinking natural is best, so during the consultation I asked them to make it as natural as possible. At the clinic where I had double eyelid surgery, they said it was my first surgery and that my eyes did not need canthoplasty or ptosis correction, so I only had double eyelid surgery with the natural adhesion method. It wasn’t just regular natural adhesion, but double natural adhesion! I know a few people around me who have had double eyelid surgery (both incisional and non-incisional), and I think I recovered the fastest among them. The swelling went down faster than I expected, and by about one month, only a little residual swelling remained, so I was able to wear makeup as much as I wanted.
Honestly, with double eyelid surgery, if you personally feel okay, you don’t really need a long recovery period, but I took 3 days off work and rested fully for 5 days including the weekend. While resting, I also did warm/cold compresses and drank the pumpkin juice the clinic gave me. But maybe because I had the natural adhesion method, there wasn’t much swelling even early on lol. So as time passed, I gradually stopped taking what I had been taking and just waited for the swelling to go down naturally.
What I like most is that there is nothing that looks uneven from the front. Before, I heard things like I looked sleepy or that my eyes somehow looked sharp, but after the double eyelid surgery, I’m relieved to hear that my eyes actually look gentler hehe. I’m also satisfied that the surgical result came out exactly as the line the director designed for me. It was my first cosmetic surgery, and I think I did well to get double eyelid surgery.
