Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

A review 2 weeks after surgery, after agonizing over a square jaw

Before-before, after-after. I am 2 weeks post-op after receiving long-curve square jaw surgery + masseter reduction + cortical bone resection at a clinic. I had worried about it for almost 20 years, and I seriously started looking into clinics for 2 years, going around Apgujeong, Gangnam, and Sinnonhyeon~ (diving in headfirst lol) When I was younger, I got by with square jaw Botox, but there was a limit to that. My cheek hollows were severe, and after getting Botox, for about 6 months people around me would say, 'Why did you lose so much weight?' My face already had little facial fat, so I looked pitiful~ So I stopped getting Botox. This year was the first time I really, rea~~lly went through with plastic surgery. At first, I had fat grafting at another clinic. But while looking into fat grafting, I also looked into facial contouring. The more consultations I went to, the more I reached the conclusion that this was not something I should do, and just as I was about to give up on facial contouring.....

There were a lot of mentions of this clinic in an online community. I did not want a major overhaul, and considering my age, I needed work on the square jaw area and reduction of the chewing muscle, and this clinic was exactly right. When I went for the consultation, the director and consultant were professional and kind, and the clinic felt systematic~

On the day of surgery, I was trembling so much. But I felt that if I let myself think that way, I would not be able to do it, so even the night before surgery, I brainwashed myself by thinking, 'I'm going to get a gastroscopy,' and went to sleep. As the surgery day approached, I tried very hard to act composed. (I am a total scaredy-cat.)

I spoke with the director before surgery, and the director said, 'When you go into the operating room, there will be many people there~ Everyone has their own role, and Ms. ㅇㅇ, you have the easiest role. Your role is just to lie there.' Those words gave me so much strength. When I asked if he had a religion and said I wanted to pray before starting, he readily allowed time for prayer, and then we headed to the operating room. I really woke up in the recovery room after sleeping.

Now, 2 weeks after surgery, the major swelling has almost all gone down, and I think only the minor swelling needs to gradually subside. First of all, there are many restrictions on eating after surgery, and before surgery the clinic does a checkup. At that time, they said I had some signs of anemia and recommended that I take iron supplements, so I have been taking them for 2 months now. Maybe because of that, I feel like I have less dizziness or weakness. Rather, I consider it fortunate that signs of anemia showed up then.

Also, I had a lot of incorrect knowledge from only watching YouTube. So I asked the consultant before surgery, and she said I did not need to prepare all those things, so I did not buy them. (For example, things like a tall soft plush doll/pillow.) I almost wasted money for no reason~

When preparing supplies before surgery, I recommend that you do not watch YouTube and instead ask the consultant directly. For the week before surgery, I ordered and stocked up on New Care, pear juice from Chorocmaeul, apple juice, and pumpkin juice before getting surgery. From the day right after surgery, they become very useful food for daily sustenance, so I recommend ordering them in advance. Since I am a full-time homemaker, I stayed at home, wore the compression band often, used the mouthwash from the clinic diligently, and slept well. Maybe because of that, the swelling went down quickly and my condition is fine. Today I went to have my stitches removed, and the dental doctor said the inside of my mouth was in very good condition, and when the director saw me, he looked very satisfied too^^ He said the swelling had gone down a lot and that for 2 weeks post-op, I had improved this much

Even to me, my facial line looks softer and my face looks smaller. There is still swelling around my mouth, so eating and washing my face are still uncomfortable, but time is the medicine~~!!! I have not experienced 2- or 3-type procedures, so I do not know, but 1 type is really worth trying!!! (Except for not being able to gobble up what I want to eat) I want to praise myself and say I did well to gather great courage before it was too late, before I got older!!!^^ Oh, and what I felt while staying hospitalized for one day was that everyone was really kind, attentive, and professional. The clinic is really systematic, and the director is truly the best!! I will write again after my face settles more^^ Director, thank you so much once again. Thumbs up
