For my first surgery, I used ear cartilage, and 13 years later, I had rhinoplasty this time with autologous rib cartilage~ It seemed too high, so 6 months later I had an AS procedure to lower it slightly~ But~ maybe because my original nose was small and this was a re-revision, the cartilage shows through round and white, so I went to the clinic today~ They suggested adding one more layer of dermis~ But they said they had already added one layer during surgery~ but it still seems to show through. I asked what it would be like to remove the autologous rib cartilage from the nasal tip and use ear cartilage + dermis, and they said they could do that too. Since it’s a re-revision, they said the AS would be free.. Also, with the autologous rib cartilage, my nose is hard and fixed in place.. so my side profile looks awkward, and when I make facial expressions it feels really awkward So I’m thinking of changing the nasal tip to ear cartilage and leaving the rib cartilage as the columellar strut. Would that be okay..? Ha, this time I’m going to ask them to make it as natural and low as possible. The line is pretty, but because it’s high, it looks unnatural and hard. What I felt after making it high this time is that natural is best for everything... To sum up,
It’s a re-revision at the same clinic, and I had autologous rib cartilage + silicone. Because the nasal tip shows through, they’re suggesting replacing it with cartilage. Would that be okay? If I do it this time, it’ll be my 4th nose surgery.. Sigh, I really can’t have another surgery because it bends or droops I’m worried because this will now be my 3rd time at this clinic....
