My contact lens prescription was around -6, -7, and after looking around, I had the procedure at an ophthalmology clinic in Apgujeong. It was a factory-style place, so I kept carrying one sheet of paper from exam room to exam room for tests, and if you were suitable, they did the procedure right away. It felt like everything passed by so quickly. I live outside Seoul, so I remember having surgery in Seoul, getting a bit better, then taking the bus back down, and my eyes stung so much I almost died. The next day, as soon as I opened my eyes, I was surprised because I could see clearly in front of me I originally had very severe astigmatism too, and at the time the glare/halos were so bad that I even got glasses and wore them for a while. Even now, the glare/halos haven’t completely disappeared. My current corrected visual acuity is maintained around 0.7-0.8. I haven’t managed my vision very well, but I’m completely satisfied just that it improved this much!
