I went around for consultations today, and it feels so overwhelming. First, to describe my nose, the tip is droopy, I have a slight hump, it’s type 3 alar retraction with a lot of nostril show, and it’s a somewhat long dragon nose. The height isn’t low.
I went in after thinking a lot about nostril lowering, cartilage repositioning, and raising the nasal ala, but they said none of it would work. They said I absolutely can’t raise the nasal ala because there isn’t enough tissue there, and they don’t recommend nostril lowering for type 3. Cartilage repositioning would also somehow end up looking strangely covered/blocked... They said I just have to accept that the nostrils will show more and do long nose correction with lifting/supporting the nasal tip. I went there for the purpose of correcting the front view, but in the end, nothing would be corrected, and even the long nose wouldn’t be properly corrected.. They also said things like raising the columella aren’t possible, and since it’s like this from the very first start, I’m really so upset.. It’s such a big complex for me, so I spent almost a year just researching online before going to a consultation at a hospital said to be good, but now I don’t even have a sense of where to go anymore.. Is there a hospital that’s good at correcting type 3 alar retraction dragon nose..
