It’s been 2 years since my facial contouring surgery, so I thought it might help and I’ll write a brief summary!
I’m 33. I was 31 at the time of surgery. I did 2.5 types of facial contouring and also had my nose done together (jaw, cheekbones).
1. My cheekbones and jaw were very developed, so the doctor was very excited. He said there was a lot to shave down.. I was told, why didn’t I have surgery sooner?
2. The day of surgery and afterward were bearable, but removing the stitches inside my mouth hurt so much it felt like blood was bursting out, so if I were told to do facial contouring surgery again because of this, I’d hesitate.
3. Now, 2 years later, sensation feels like it has returned about 85-90%? Honestly, saying it completely came back would be a lie. But now I’m so used to it that I don’t feel discomfort.
4. My mouth still doesn’t open as much as before. But daily life is possible. I hesitate to go to the dentist. I need to go, but I’m putting it off (my fault). I should practice opening my mouth, but since I don’t feel discomfort when eating, brushing my teeth, etc., I did less of it.... my fault.
5. Even though I did my nose together, nobody noticed I had surgery. It’s very natural.. Everyone just thinks I lost weight. My actual weight is the same.
6. Strangely, I became similar to the way I used to edit my photos before surgery. Now I only edit things like skin tone!
7. Honestly, I don’t think I have sagging yet. Lifting after surgery: under-chin thread lift, 3 titanium lifting sessions.
8. The salivary glands under my jaw look more visible. This bothers me a lot.. But actually, when I looked at old photos, they were there before too. But because of my square jaw, this wasn’t something that became a problem. Now that my face is slimmer, every little thing becomes an issue..
9. I regret doing it in my 30s. I should have done it earlier and enjoyed my 20s Of course, the surgical methods probably improved more over those 10 years too..
