3 years ago, I got double-eyelid surgery using the natural adhesion method at a certain plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam. About a year after getting it done, my left eye started forming multiple creases whenever I was tired, and from about half a year ago, the left side completely loosened, while the right line became too thin and multiple creases often formed too. After thinking about it for a long time, I decided to get revision surgery and went around for consultations. But when I got my first double-eyelid surgery, I had gone to several places for consultations, and somehow doing that felt way too bothersome, so this time I went to one clinic in Dongtan and two in Gangnam!
1. ㅇㅌㄴ Plastic Surgery (1 director) I went for a consultation because it seemed like a fairly well-known clinic in Dongtan. They were very kind, and I think the consultation time was really long. I think I talked with the director for about 30 minutes. But during the consultation, rather than firmly setting the direction of the surgery and saying “do this and this,” it felt like they kept giving me the choice, saying the choice is yours, over and over. So I think I just didn’t really trust it.. The cost was the cheapest here. They recommended ptosis correction (optional) + full incision or partial incision. There is a consultation fee of 10,000 won.
1. ㅇㅁㄹ Plastic Surgery (ㄷㅇㄹ) The waiting time was really long, just like the rumors. There were so many people at the hospital, and I waited about two and a half hours before finally consulting with the director. I liked that the director was very firm, saying to do this and this without overtreatment. I was recommended full incision + upper canthoplasty, and the director seemed very certain + confident, so during the consultation I had almost already made up my mind. There is no consultation fee. Also, the consultant was kind and seemed to explain things carefully and thoroughly.
2. ㅍㄹㅁㅇ Plastic Surgery (ㅈㅇㅈ) Personally, I didn’t really like this place. There is a consultation fee of 10,000 won. The consultant asked my budget first, and maybe because I said an amount that was too low, after the director’s consultation, they didn’t do a separate price consultation and seemed like they were just going to send me off;; The director also seemed to be trying to finish the consultation in a big rush, maybe because there was a surgery afterward. Here they said I absolutely needed full incision + ptosis correction, and since the eyelids can become hollow with age, I should also consider fat grafting. The price was seriously way too expensive, and the director was very firm and decisive about the surgical method. When I asked whether ptosis correction was really necessary, they said that if I’m resistant to ptosis correction, it would be better not to have surgery at their hospital and that I should go consult at several other hospitals. They said it nicely, but somehow it just felt a bit off..
In the end, I got the revision surgery at ㅇㅁㄹ, and it’s been about a week. The swelling is still severe, so I’m not sure yet, but the line is clean, so I think it’s not bad. But I wanted an in-out line, and somehow it feels like the line became semi-out I think I’ll only know once more swelling goes down
