I have ultra-high myopia, with vision around -6.0/-6.5, and now it’s been two months since I had premium LASEK! My corneas aren’t thick either, so they said revision surgery isn’t possible If my vision drops later, I’ll have to go with lens implantation. For now, the clinic said that because I have ultra-high myopia, I need to wear sunglasses for 6 months, longer than other people..! So I have to keep wearing them even in winter. The surgery itself honestly doesn’t hurt; it feels exactly like being abducted by aliens and experimented on lol so it can be a bit scary. But it’s manageable, and honestly with LASEK, the key is after the surgery.. Days 1 and 2 were okay, and on day 3 I thought I was dying.. It’s in the top 3 pains of my life.. It felt like a furnace was sitting on my eyes!! It was hard even to eat, so you have to hurry and eat when you put in the anesthetic eye drops If you endure just that one day, after that the light comes and your quality of life goes up!!! I kind of regret not doing it earlier..! Thinking of all the days I suffered so much with hard lenses, my vision is coming back slower than other people’s, but I’m happy I don’t wear lenses Anyway, I consider mine a success! For people who suffered a lot with hard lenses like me, I absolutely recommend it!
