Why I chose it: An acquaintance of mine had a revision nose surgery here and it turned out amazingly well, so I decided to go here without even looking into other clinics.
The nose shape I wanted: I didn’t have a specific shape in mind. I just wanted a nose that didn’t look too obvious and wasn’t too high. Also, I didn’t like how my nose spread when I smiled, so I asked them to make it so the tip wouldn’t flare.
What the doctor said: He said they would raise the bridge just a little and do the tip without an implant. But since my face is a bit asymmetrical, they would try to match it as much as possible, though the nostrils might still end up slightly asymmetrical. I said okay.
Surgery process Even the booking process was dramatic. They quoted a very, very high price, and after I was dragging my feet, I suddenly got told the day before that if I didn’t do it tomorrow, the surgery would only be available two weeks later ;; I ended up deciding to have the surgery the next day right away. I was kind of shocked that I suddenly gave up everything and had surgery tomorrow.
1. Nose hair removal: It seems like it wouldn’t hurt much, but it actually stings a bit. 2. Disinfecting inside the nose: It hurts like crazy. You just have to swallow the pain like something spicy and endure it. This is just the start..;; 3. Facial cleansing and taking out my contacts 4. They laid me on the operating table and restrained me. Because they do sedation first and then local anesthesia in the nose. 5. I suddenly felt like I was being sucked in, and it was like I was stranded in some Grand Canyon-like place and falling into a mirror world. 6. I suddenly came to. Where am I? I was supposed to be getting nose surgery, and then I realized I was in the middle of the operation. 7. According to my acquaintance, they said they were waking me up, but they never actually did; I was just going “ugh” and apparently I got up on my own. 8. My acquaintance said they would explain the procedure to me, but there was no explanation process at all. 9. When I opened my eyes, I could see the entire surgical process directly, and they didn’t cover my eyes. Out of fear, I just kept my eyes shut as hard as I could. 10. During the surgery, the doctor kept getting angry, and I could feel the assistant nurse’s flustered reaction even with my eyes closed. 11. I started feeling self-conscious, and if anything, I wanted to say, please don’t fight, but I just decided to shut up. 12. The doctor kept getting angry because something wasn’t going well during the surgery. I had no sense of pain or sight anyway, so I just decided to keep quiet and stay still. 13. I think I endured it for about two hours thinking it would end soon. Time was not moving at all. Whenever they told me to swallow my runny nose fluid, I sucked it in and swallowed it desperately. 14. I swallowed it until I was almost full. They ground up a little membrane, and the feeling when they were grinding it was kind of creepy. Like the sound of chalk being ground? 15. Just when I thought, is it almost over?, they said they were putting in silicone,,,;;; My God, it’s still going on...? 16. They even gave an anesthesia injection up to my forehead for the silicone insertion. After that, they put it in, but the nurses said it seemed too high. 17. They took the silicone out, shaved it down, and inserted it again. 18. And that’s how surgery ended after four hellish hours. 19. They didn’t pack my nose with cotton. I could go back to daily life right away, but I was still dizzy from the medication. 20. My acquaintance was supposed to pick me up, but because the clinic had some issue, they kept giving me obvious pressure to leave. 21. I felt extremely bad, but I just decided to leave. In the end, my acquaintance came to pick me up but then just went home, and I took the subway home. 22. There was only one person who apologized, and the others just passed by me with a look that said it had nothing to do with them. 23. The person who apologized took me to the pharmacy and the subway and really worried about me sincerely. That was the surgery process. When I got home, I was told to take painkillers before the pain started, so I took Tylenol and just went to sleep.
Post-op care process Title: No one told me that aftercare hurts more than the nose surgery.....';;
This is where they give swelling shots. Let me first explain the injection process. I’m only talking about the days I went to the clinic.
Oh, and it’s been about four months since the surgery... so my memory isn’t very clear.
1. The next day after surgery A blood-fluid injection. I didn’t look in the mirror, so I can’t be too detailed, but they inserted the needle vertically into the area from the forehead down to the bridge of the nose. It was reeeaaally fucking painful and my whole body shook. Once those ten seconds of pain passed, it didn’t hurt anymore. But then the doctor came and kept pressing on the bridge of my nose to drain out the blood-fluid. I didn’t have much pus or blood, so it ended quickly. Oh right. Cleaning the nose hurt like crazy even before the injection. 2. Three days after surgery Nose disinfection, one-round time. Blood-fluid injection, one-round time. Doctor’s nose massage, one-round time. 3. Five days after surgery No blood-fluid injection, but I did get some other injection. This hurt insanely badly. Blood-fluid injection? Easy lol. This one was just multiple shots, and it was seriously fucking painful. It was like being tortured while holding my face. That was one round. 4. One week after surgery The day the stitches came out. It hurt less than I expected, but I did cry. And then the bandage? Splint? came off. Another scar-tissue shot... round two... the pain was, as always, fucking awful. 5. About one and a half weeks after surgery? Only a scar-tissue shot... it hurt like crazy ....round three 6. Two weeks after surgery? Or one month? The final scar-tissue shot... it still hurt fucking badly. And that was the end.
Satisfaction 1. I’m happy because the surgery looks natural. 2. But my nostrils are quite asymmetrical, and the bridge of my nose seems slightly crooked. 3. I’m stressed about the nostril asymmetry, but after considering everything, my face itself is asymmetrical and there’s no implant at the tip, so I’m thinking I’ll just live with it. 4. There’s a slight dip between where the bridge ends and the bridge itself. It’s very minor. It only shows from certain angles.
Conclusion It turned out natural and well overall, but my satisfaction level isn’t that high. The nostril asymmetry bothers me a bit when it’s captured by the rear camera. Still, people around me are very surprised and say it turned out really well. But with a plain rear camera shot, the photos come out very well. I almost never use beauty filters anymore. It looks natural, and I’m happy that my nose doesn’t flare when I smile. I think all the hardship was worth it.
It’s a clinic worth going for a consultation at least once. My acquaintances’ nose surgeries turned out even better than mine.
