I went to consultations at 6 places for revision double-eyelid surgery, and one hospital among them was my favorite, so I even put down a deposit, but thinking about it, there are a few things bothering me..
First, the reasons I liked it are 1) The director seems to like forehead lifts (I found this out from prior research), but seeing that they didn’t recommend a forehead lift to me, I thought they only told me exactly what I needed 2) Kind + it’s not a large hospital, so I feel like aftercare will be good 3) During the consultation, no excessive confidence 4) I felt like they observed my eyes a lot and consulted really diligently without seeming rushed 5) The review photos on Babitalk + Gangnam Unni were my style, so I thought our aesthetic standards matched 6) I searched obsessively for that doctor here and there and feel like I read almost every related post, but there weren’t any severe negative opinions. There were many satisfied posts (even excluding satisfied posts that seemed suspiciously like broker posts)
Now I’ll write what bothers me… 1) Out of 6 places, 5 recommended ptosis correction.. But here, they explained that my eye-opening strength is normal, and that if I do ptosis correction, my eyes could look too wide-open/staring 2) A doctor at another hospital said that to do revision surgery, the existing sutures have to be undone (my first surgery = buried suture method + ptosis correction, non-absorbable sutures), and then the original ptosis correction would also come undone. Then ptosis correction would need to be done again together… 3) It’s a hospital that uses absorbable sutures, and I’ve heard absorbable sutures have somewhat weaker fixation, so I’m worried it might come undone again,, 4) While digging through communities.. it seems like there are quite a few brokers.. But during the consultation, as a condition for a cost discount, they asked me to write a review and said that each person can make up to 3 Naver account IDs, and asked me to give them one of those… So I’m suspicious whether they receive accounts like that and use them for broker activity..
Since this is revision surgery for me, I’m seriously fanatically cautious… so there are so, so many things I’m worried about.. The review photos are really my style though(even if they might be manipulated, the aesthetic standard matches mine) Would it be okay for me to have surgery here…??????
