I think the most important thing before surgery is understanding my own eyes.
I was satisfied with having monolids too, but I felt like my eyelids were drooping, so I decided to have surgery..
So I wanted a low crease because I absolutely wanted it to look natural, but the result became an inner double eyelid, and that looked so strange.
For the second time, I went with a semi-out crease with the line a bit higher, but I chose the wrong hospital and it failed. The line was messy and uneven. Even as time passed, the scar kept remaining, and after being stressed for a year, I got a refund. It was also largely my fault for choosing an unskilled doctor. (It may vary by person, but it became the reason I absolutely avoid female doctors.)
Through two experiences, I think I now have a sense of what I should do going forward. Even with monolids, I used to hear that my eyes were pretty big, but actually my eyes needed front and back canthoplasty.
I need to search far and wide for a skilled doctor.
