My eyes used to be -6.5 and -5.5, with astigmatism too. I wore contact lenses, but my eyes got so~~~~ dry that I couldn’t wear them anymore. But wearing glasses meant they were totally like magnifying glasses.. so I decided to have surgery.
The total cost was around 2.5 million won (including the cost of artificial tears), and right after surgery my vision went up to 1.7. The doctor did say it was a case where the surgery went very well.
Now, after more than 6 years, I’m maintaining around 1.0~1.2. I work in a job where I only look at a computer, so my vision has dropped a bit, but I’m very satisfied. And maybe because I stopped wearing contacts after surgery, my dry eye also got better.. lol
