Marble // bulbous nose correction, donated costal cartilage, silicone They had CT imaging, and they explained things in detail while looking at the images with me They showed me where my ear cartilage and septal cartilage are, and from what size they can be used safely But they said my septal cartilage is too small Usually, if it’s at least 2–2.5 cm, it’s considered adequate and okay as material for a first surgery, but they said my nose itself is small and short, so my septal cartilage is very small.. They said surgery could be done with ear cartilage alone, but ear cartilage is a good material for people who want a natural-looking surgery, so it doesn’t match the look I want For reference, the photos I showed the director were Winter and Sullyoon.. haha.. lol So they said silicone would be used for the nasal bridge and costal cartilage for the nasal tip, and I could choose between autologous costal cartilage and donated costal cartilage They said you shouldn’t look only at the nose among the facial features when doing surgery, and that the line from the nasal bridge to the nose and from the nose to the chin tip needs to match well for the nose to look pretty, so they looked at the design with that in mind. I strongly felt like they were adjusting the design so it could come out as close as possible to what I wanted Because if I said something like, “Hmm, I wish the bridge were a bit higher..” then the director would say, “Then we can increase the silicone millimeters,” and adjust the design again The consultant did recommend booking the same day, but when I said I had another consultation left, she didn’t pressure me hard or force me. It was my first consultation, so I was really nervous going in, but thankfully I finished it without any issues

When consulting with the consultant, she asked if I had been to a few consultations, so I said I had gone to one place in the morning and was recommended costal cartilage there because my septal cartilage was insufficient. She said that seemed likely from looking at my CT scan, asked whether I was leaning toward donated costal cartilage or autologous costal cartilage, and said it would be best to go with whichever I felt drawn to The director looked at the CT and said I have a very slight hump nose, but it can be covered sufficiently with silicone, so osteotomy isn’t necessary. They first asked what nose style I wanted and how much I wanted to raise the nasal bridge Overall, I felt like they explained things in an easy-to-understand way. They gestured on their own nose, saying the silicone would go here, and the nasal tip material would be... They explained it like that, and I felt they were very kind. Here too, they said septal cartilage alone couldn’t create the nasal tip height I wanted, so they recommended using costal cartilage to prevent future absorption and drooping And honestly, they said that more than the septal cartilage issue, my nose length itself is short, so the nasal bridge can’t be raised a lot They said the bulbous nose can improve to some extent by raising the bridge and tip, but a short nose is actually a very difficult case Here too, the consultant recommended booking, but I couldn’t decide right away, and I also flinched a little when I heard the cost.. haha.. so I said I’d think about it more and come back
I still feel a bit unsatisfied, so I’m going to go to more consultations, but still, there wasn’t anywhere where I felt uncomfortable at the end, so I feel pretty satisfied with my first consultations
