Hehehe, before-before-before, it has already been 10 months!! Time really seems to fly haha I can't believe it's almost been 1 year since the surgery,,.!! Now all that's really left is orthodontic treatment, and I'm excited to see how much better it will get once the orthodontic treatment is finished too! haha
Since I was young, I had been stressed because of malocclusion and asymmetry, and I even tried getting acupuncture at an oriental medicine clinic. In the end, on 7/6 last year, I had double-jaw surgery and 2 types of facial contouring (square jaw and chin) at Y Oral Clinic!!
Now I'm so used to this face that I can barely remember what I looked like before surgery.. Sometimes when I look at old photos, I think, wow, my asymmetry really was that severe Thinking back then, I hated being photographed and didn't like taking selfies either, but after surgery, now I even ask people to take photos of me and I take selfies often haha
Whenever people I haven't seen in a long time say I've become so much prettier, I always think that getting the surgery was really such a good decision!
Right after surgery, when I couldn't eat and all that, I did think, ah, did I get surgery for nothing?! But really, after just one month, those thoughts went away! Now I'm even more, more, more satisfied haha
These days I can eat well without really avoiding anything, but since I'm undergoing orthodontic treatment, I try not to eat things like gum or jelly if possible. I can eat very hard foods, but if I chew with my molars, it feels sore because of the orthodontic wires, so I am adjusting little by little!
And if there's another thing that changed, I think my hairstyle has changed a lot too! Before, because my asymmetry was severe, I styled my hair in a way that covered my face, but now I tie my hair up and seem to show my face shape more!
For those who are considering surgery because of asymmetry like I was, I really recommend at least getting a consultation. It was so nice because the consultation manager and the director examined everything really thoroughly!!
