Hello hello hello hello hello hello I had lower jaw surgery, not double-jaw surgery, plus 2 types of facial contouring (square jaw/chin) at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on January 26! Since I was young, my lower jaw and bite did not align, so I had lived with it as a complex. I figured it would probably bother me for the rest of my life too, so I made up my mind and decided to have surgery while I was even one day younger.
And somehow 3 months have already passed.. Time really flies Now I can chew almost everything unless it’s extremely tough or hard hahaha Until the second month, my right jaw felt a bit stiff when I chewed, but now that feeling is gradually decreasing, so it’s very comfortable. I’m still undergoing orthodontic treatment, so my bite is not perfectly aligned yet, but I can feel that this is gradually improving too! I think about 80% of the swelling has gone down. The major swelling seems to be gone, and now the minor swelling seems to be slowly going down. Until last month, the muscle on one side of my lip was not moving slightly, so my mouth shape looked quite awkward, but this has also improved noticeably compared with last month! Since the threads tying the muscles have not all dissolved yet, I think I’ll need to watch this until 6 months. At some point, the strong tightness inside my mouth when I woke up in the morning also decreased, so I understood what people mean when they say many things become more comfortable around 3 months haha.. The swelling around my square jaw and chin has moved downward, so I still have cheek fat that looks like I’m holding candy in my mouth, but I believe it will definitely go away with time For anyone planning to have surgery, I’ll tell you in advance: lose as much facial fat as possible beforehand.. Even if I gain just a little compared with before, I look swollen, so I automatically(?) end up dieting lol The bone shape is pretty! When I write my next review, I really want to come back with a review where my bite is almost normally aligned and overall upgraded even more than now!!!!
