Before the surgery, even though my mom was never really someone who was interested in her appearance, she had been very uncomfortable functionally because of her drooping eyelids for a while, and it was also stressing her out a lot appearance-wise. I had also heard many times that middle-aged eyes in particular need to be done at a place with excellent surgical skill. But you know how hospitals that aunties share with each other are all kind of similar... she came back after hearing things like, “It’s not even a plastic surgery clinic, but they say a local clinic is good~” and said, “Should we go there for a consultation?” After that, I thought I really needed to search hard myself and take her somewhere truly good, so I looked up all kinds of information starting from a community, and visited a few places known for lots of eye experience and good reviews for middle-aged eyes. Among them, she had surgery at Chai, where the consultation was satisfying, and maybe because I researched so hard, she is happy with the results too! I also feel proud because I think the surgery turned out really well haha. My mom, who always hesitated and worried, “Won’t I get scars if I have surgery?” now always brings a hand mirror and shows it off, asking, “I did the right thing, right?” lol. Since it’s definitely a private clinic, when I went with my mom for the consultation, it wasn’t crowded or chaotic from being pushed around by too many people, and I liked that everything seemed to proceed systematically, from the manager’s consultation to the director’s consultation. I heard there are sometimes directors who are a bit curt, but he was really sweet, and I loved that he listened to every single one of my mom’s endless questions during the consultation.. The consultation was good too, but what’s really amazing is that she didn’t even have multiple procedures done, yet just one eyebrow lift solved the eyelashes poking her eyes and the covering from drooping eyelids. That’s fascinating... Even now, she’s satisfied with her clearer eyes without scars, haha. For everyone looking into eye surgery for their mom, I recommend going here for a consultation too!
