Hello hehe Before I knew it, three months have passed since my two-jaw surgery hehe My mouth shape has definitely become more natural than after 1-2 months, and unless the food is extremely tough or hard (no squid; for meats like tangsuyuk/samgyeopsal/galbi, I cut them into small pieces and chew), I’m eating everything little by little without any problems hehe
Before surgery, I had orthodontic treatment for a long time when I was younger because of malocclusion + a protruding lower jaw. It improved quite a bit compared with before, but in the end, it could not be corrected to the normal occlusal form where the upper teeth cover the lower teeth, and I was told that I would need two-jaw surgery for further improvement. As I gradually became more interested in dressing up and had more situations where I took photos often, I started looking closely at my face more often. Because of that, my flat-looking face from the side, the asymmetrical face caused by improper occlusion, and even a slight protruding lower jaw... all became complexes for me.
So on January 19, I had two-jaw surgery together with two types of contouring surgery (square jaw and chin) at a clinic.
Now at three months, when I compare the swelling after two-jaw surgery in photos, it has gone down to some extent~! Also, until the second month, my mouth did not open very much (two fingers possible), so they couldn’t attach 100% of the orthodontic appliances, but at this 3-month visit, my mouth opened enough for three fingers to fit, so I got the end appliances that couldn’t be attached last time taken care of~ Recently, I also started working again and have been meeting people around me often, and everyone who knows I had surgery tells me my overall vibe has changed!! As my protruding lower jaw went in, my previously flat face definitely became more three-dimensional, and my face has become a bit rounder than before. I’m completely satisfied! Before surgery, I worried and thought about it a lot and wondered if it was the right choice, but seeing myself now, I think choosing to have the surgery was really the right decision hehe I hope 6 months and 1 year pass quickly so that all the swelling and recovery are completely finished!!
