Before-before after-after-after Hello, this is my 3-month review after two-jaw surgery~ In early January, I had two-jaw surgery and two facial contouring procedures at Y Oral Surgery!
The reason I had surgery was that when I was young, I went to the dentist to get orthodontic treatment for buck teeth, and through the doctor’s diagnosis I learned that I had a protruding lower jaw. However, because of the surgery cost and treatment period, I kept worrying and missed the right treatment timing, so I only had my front teeth corrected. My front teeth were straightened, but I had malocclusion where the lower teeth covered the upper front teeth, and my jaw kept growing until adulthood, reaching a level where it was very noticeable externally. When I was in school, I was teased a lot with all kinds of characters and people with protruding teeth, and whenever I took photos I was busy covering my face with my hand or a mask, so I became very afraid of taking photos. People around me often asked if I was angry, even when my face was just expressionless, because my jaw always protruded. Also, when I smiled, the even more prominent Joker-like expression looked even worse to me. After becoming an adult and thinking about it for a long time, I decided to have surgery to resolve my frequent indigestion and my complex.
Now at 3 months, a lot of the swelling has gone down and I can feel almost all sensation well~ I’m visiting the hospital and receiving orthodontic treatment, and although chewing food still feels somewhat uncomfortable, daily life has become better Before, I couldn’t take selfies because I felt hesitant and lacked confidence, but these days I have no stress about my face, so I confidently turn on the camera and try taking photos When I see the progress in photos at the hospital, my jaw has become small enough that I can see it with my own eyes Two-jaw surgery is one thing, but maybe because I did the square jaw and chin together, it definitely seems more dramatic! I’m very happy, but weight management also has a big effect on the face shape, so I plan to lose more weight to make my satisfaction even higher One thing that’s a bit different from before is that sometimes older people who see me on the street say I’m cute and that I have a good impression Whenever that happens, I secretly feel good and think I made the right choice having surgery I think I’ll live with even more confidence going forward, and I want to lose weight quickly too and see an even better face. After surgery, I also took ID photos for the first time, and the face shape that had always been my complex in photos can now be edited without having to reduce it much, so I’m really happy that I can look at my face more confidently~ I want the swelling to go down soon and, as time passes, see myself looking even more natural!
