Today is day 8 after internal and external incisions for alar reduction, and I feel like the scarring is not as bad as I expected
Surgery time: within 1 hour
Day 1: I had it in the morning, but maybe because of the medication, I don’t remember the day of surgery very well.. I barely remember how I got home by taxi. But I don’t think I needed a guardian. As the anesthesia gradually wore off, rather than the external incision site, the area from the philtrum to my upper teeth hurt, maybe the part where the internal muscle was sutured?
Day 2: Once the anesthesia wore off, I started feeling an overall throbbing sensation. They said I could wash my face except for the surgical area, but I tried not to touch it as much as possible and only used cleansing water + facial cleansing wipes. When sleeping, the inside of my nose felt so dry, so before bed I put the prescribed eye ointment on a cotton swab and moisturized the inside of my nose, and it got better.
Days 3 to 6: I intentionally got all the sebum peeling done before surgery, but around day 4, sebum started coming up. Even if I could gently remove it from the nasal bridge, I just had to give up on the externally incised areas. Maybe because I took my medication consistently and drank pumpkin juice + pumpkin tea, even without massage, the swelling was less and I didn’t feel pain at all. It was just a level of discomfort from the stitches?
Day 7: It probably varies by clinic, but I had my stitches removed on day 7. I had seen reviews saying stitch removal didn’t hurt, but for me it hurt. Personally, I don’t think the clinic itself is particularly meticulous or sincere, except for the doctor. It was bad enough that if I really talked about the care, I’d have to write another post, but looking only at the surgical result, I’m reasonably satisfied so far.
