Before-before, after-after I had been very stressed for a long time about my face being big and round. Even after the mask mandate was lifted, I wore a mask for quite a while, and I covered my jaw almost every day. Because of that, I naturally started considering facial contouring surgery, and since facial contouring is such a major surgery, I thought about it for years..gave up on it repeatedly, but then I thought, instead of regretting not doing it, let’s just go for it! and started seriously searching for clinics.
First, I did not feel drawn to large hospitals with too many directors, and I searched with an anesthesiologist being present as a required condition. After additionally considering reviews, accessibility, and many other things, this place remained, so I booked a consultation right away.
Both the consultant and the director kindly and honestly told me which areas could be improved and which areas would not have a big effect, which I liked, and I immediately booked 3 types of facial contouring + lifting + under-eye fat repositioning.
As expected, the surgery was done under general anesthesia, so when I opened my eyes, it was over. Ah, but hahaha I honestly had no time to feel pain in my cheekbones or under-eyes, and the jaw pain came on strongly. Also, right after general anesthesia, they do not let you drink water for a while, and my throat felt like it was burning, so I think the thirst was harder to bear than the pain Anyway, I barely got discharged looking like someone who had obviously had plastic surgery, and spent the rest of the time diligently eating liquid foods.
For a few days, I was really swollen like a rice cake bun, but the swelling went down faster than expected, so by the time I returned to work, nobody noticed. It has only been 3 weeks, but the difference is already visible, so I am hoping it goes down even more quickly. haha The biggest changes I feel are:
- When I smile, my front cheekbones protrude less than before - As the cheekbones went in, my nose looks relatively more prominent - From the front, my jaw looks slimmer, so deeply covering caps suit me well now(!) - From a 45-degree angle, my facial line looks smoother - The fat that used to bulge under my eyes disappeared very, very cleanly
I need to ride this momentum, diet, and reduce the swelling quickly!
