Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> Everyone knows, right? When I was a high school senior... I was interested in everything except studying, and I got interested in my appearance late haha. I had monolids with a lot of fat on my upper eyelids, so starting after summer break, I began wearing double eyelid tape to look even a little prettier. As soon as the college entrance exam was over, I carried my exam admission ticket around and worked hard visiting clinics for consultations lol!
I had not been wearing double eyelid tape for very long, so my skin had not stretched much. Also, I thought if I had incisional surgery on my face, my eyes might look too intense, so I definitely wanted non-incisional surgery. But... my skin has some resistance, and my upper eyelids are on the thicker side, so most clinics said I would probably need to go with an incisional method. They said they could do it non-incisionally if I asked, but they could not guarantee when it might loosen, and I heard over and over that they did not really recommend it lol.... Just when I was about to get depressed thinking, “So incision is the only answer for my eyes,” fortunately there was a clinic that told me non-incisional surgery would be fully possible if fat removal was done together, so I ended up having surgery there!
Honestly, I had added it to my list without much expectation because it was the clinic where my older cousin had surgery, but as soon as they said non-incisional surgery was possible, my impression of them immediately improved. The consultant was really so x100 kind, so my impression improved again. The director seemed genuinely serious about eyes and gave the most passionate consultation out of all the clinics I had visited, so my impression improved again..... Among the clinics I visited, they also had the longest AS period, and maybe because it was a private clinic, I felt their postoperative care was the most sincere, so I think I kept feeling drawn to it. Mom, I want to do it here.... haha
Since I had typical East Asian eyes with slight epicanthal folds, I decided to do medial epicanthoplasty together as well. But!! Since I was determined that I had to get it done non-incisionally no matter what, I absolutely wanted eyes that looked natural and did not obviously look like I had double eyelid surgery... So I emphasized about five hundred times that the line had to be gentle and even no matter what, and that I absolutely hated any bumpy unevenness. For the medial epicanthoplasty too, I asked them to open only the epicanthal folds naturally, in a way that looked like I had it done but also not done lol. Since it was my first cosmetic surgery, I was worried and probably bothered them too much, but I was really grateful that the consultant said she completely understood how I felt
Maybe because it was non-incisional, I definitely felt that even on day 1, it did not look very obvious that I had double eyelid surgery. Even though I had fat removal and canthoplasty too, my eyes only looked a little puffy? Since I now had double eyelids that I did not have before, other than my eyes feeling a little heavy to open when I woke up, I think both the progress and pain were okay lol. Maybe I recover quickly.. hehe
I had bought pumpkin juice in advance, but honestly it tasted so bad that I drank it for one day and then it went into the refrigerator.... I think I mostly took walks at night while listening to music. Maybe thanks to that, my recovery was really fast, and every time I went to the clinic, the director also told me the swelling was going down well!
Now, in a good way, I feel like I have become a completely different person, so every time I take photos, I think I did well getting double eyelid surgery haha. If you visit a lot of clinics like I did, you really can choose a clinic you like. I hope everyone here visits clinics carefully and decides on a clinic!
