I don’t know if my septum was removed during my first surgery, but after that my nose became extremely crooked. One nostril is currently blocked because my septum is deviated. This time I went to two ENT clinics.
Clinic 1 They didn’t take a CT. The director just palpated it, looked inside my nose, and accurately caught what was crooked, what materials seemed to have been inserted, and what the issues were when looking at my whole face overall. There is an area near my glabella where there is a slight bony edge, and they even mentioned that part (I’ve been to countless places, but this was the only place that mentioned it) and said it needed to be refined. They said the septum should be reinforced and straightened with costal cartilage, the glabella lowered, and the nasal tip raised quite a lot so it looks a bit shorter. They said because they need to shape the nasal tip, additional ear cartilage may need to be harvested too. It seems like they do very dramatic results. I prefer a natural look, so about half of the photos matched my taste and half looked too excessive. They were kind, and I liked that they spoke clearly and precisely, but after coming back and looking at this community, there were negative reviews, so I think I’ll have to pass.
Clinic 2 They took a CT and I saw the director. They had a good impression, you can watch the CCTV in real time, and they even said a guardian can enter the operating room. It somehow seemed very safe and trustworthy, but during the consultation they spoke too vaguely. I was talking about this and that, what I wanted and the parts I was dissatisfied with, but the reaction felt like, “Oh, so you think that? Well, I’m not sure that’s really the case, but we’ll know once we open it up.” The plan of straightening the septum with costal cartilage and refining and raising the nasal tip a bit was the same as Clinic 1. Here, there was no mention of additionally harvesting ear cartilage. Also, I feel like my face is a bit long, so I dislike the feeling that my nose is long, but they said we should raise the glabella too. I keep thinking that if they raise it from the glabella, it will look longer, and because they weren’t very expressive, I’m conflicted. So even though they said there would be a 700,000 won discount if I booked the same day, I didn’t book that day. Then 2 days later, I thought that since it does seem like a safe place, maybe I should at least put down a booking, so I asked whether the same-day booking discount was still valid. They said no haha. They said 90,000 won would be refundable anyway, so maybe I should have just done it. For some reason, I feel like this place may be the best among functional nose surgery clinics.
