Consultation with the consultant -> consultation with the director, in that order I'm considering revision surgery for both my eyes and nose, but I had only budgeted enough for my eyes, so I told them that and asked if I could at least get a consultation for revision nose surgery together. They said of course, so I had consultations for both eyes and nose. With the consultant, we talked in a lot of detail about when I had my first surgery, the materials + method used then (for the eyes, whether it was buried suture or incision; for the nose, whether it was open or closed rhinoplasty), why I wanted revision surgery, and what kind of look I wanted. I also showed photos. I had a nose CT scan and then consulted with the director. Since it was revision surgery, we first rechecked the things I had discussed with the consultant and then tried setting the line. They set the line with something like a thin stick? and I looked in the mirror while we talked together about how it felt. (I got the impression that they were very meticulous and detail-oriented.) After my first surgery, the line was thinner than I expected, and over time it felt like it was rolling inward like an inner double eyelid, so we decided to raise it a little. Since I'm a bit insensitive to subtle differences, I told them I couldn't really tell what the difference was when the lines they set were only slightly different. They set the line again and explained slowly, so it was easier to decide. I said incision felt burdensome because I was afraid it really couldn't be reversed, and I wanted to avoid incision itself. They said my skin is thin, and since the line doesn't need to be raised a lot compared with the first surgery or completely changed in shape, I could try natural adhesion again. I thought partial incision and natural adhesion were the same thing, but they said partial incision is often done when there is some fat, and I'm not at that level, so I decided on natural adhesion. For the nose, while looking at the CT, they pointed out the current position of the implant and the cartilage together and explained it, so I understood right away. They said the first surgery wasn't completely wrong, but the shape could be tricky to work on, so I decided to think about it more for now. Then I consulted with the consultant again and got the cost explanation. I had heard revision surgery is expensive, so I was a little scared, but the amount was not as burdensome as I expected. They explained how much each step costs, so it made sense, and I was okay with it and made a reservation. (I didn't think I could take vacation on the date I originally booked that day, so today I moved the surgery date earlier.)
I had consultations at other places before this, and then had one here. They explained everything so thoroughly that I was genuinely grateful, and even after making the reservation, I don't have any worries or uneasy feelings!!!
